WESTPORT 164' WESTPORT FOR SALE – BOAT SHOW WALK THROUGH

At the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show I had the opportunity to take a look at β€œValinor”, a wonderful Westport 164 for sale. The tour was made especially interesting thanks to Chief Officer John De Lange.

We shall be releasing a further video of β€œValinor” in the Bahamas in a couple of weeks, so look out for it!

  1. Nothing will beat Loon in my opinion but this is very nice, especially if there’s not so many guests.
I think not only the chef but all crew make a huge difference to a successful charter.
β€œSpeak to charter broker about a helicopter” yes, probably doubles the price of the charter πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

  3. This is the only channel where the presenter is on camera more that the presentation… No wonder this is the only yacht channel that never seem to grow over the years..

Great… nice guys. ..fine.. but Just show the boat instead of discussing it while standing still…

  4. This is a prime example of why I love the 150'/45m and above category. So much that was enjoyable, but the open kitchen and the way the Pullman's worked was unique. Such a tasteful interior and artwork.

  5. The most important thing about this yacht is the simple fact that it is called Valinor, which is the Blessed Kingdom, a fictional location in J. R. R. Tolkien's Legendarium, the home of the immortal Valar on the continent of Aman, far to the west of Middle-earth. And he, J. R. R. Tolkien, used the name Aman mainly to mean Valinor. It includes Eldamar, the land of the Elves, who, as immortals, are allowed to live in Valinor. That alone makes this yacht special!

  6. The best part of this walkthrough of a VERY impressive boat was the introduction to the XO. He came across as very knowledgeable, aproachacble and affable, Valinor's own version of Enterprise's Ryker. Everyone on board will know this man has their interests at heart yet, as the XO, he has the backbone to run the boat right. The only thing to wonder about is why he is not the Captain. The Captain must be seriously imposing.

  7. Very good walk through and what a beautiful yacht. "Watch out" MY LOON!!! The Master Cabin, VIP Cabins multi bed Cabins very accommodating. The Galley loved it. The bridge excellent set up it seemed. Balconies great set up better than hydraulic balconies. Looking forward to full tour if possible.

  8. I believe the Westport 164 was the BEST ever semi production boat series in the <500T in the world ….however this one (and Hospitality too in some ways) is completely screwed up. No Master stateroom (sorry it just doesn't exist) No Master Study. No real VIP as built (it's the "Master") No Captains cabin (only 4 crew cabins in total for 12 crew?) No elevator…. the layout is just all wrong. In this market I'd buy Gigi. Interior is nice enough with typical Westport Quality and the boat is in fine condition with the Helipad being a plus but all the bad decisions made during build make this a terrible private yacht …but conversely a great Charter yacht?
