BYU was NOT middle of the pack in the WCC generally. Last year was not typical. Bad perspective.
Going to be a lot for me to watch tonight UCF playing #1 Houston at home, The history Houston 20 wins UCF 10, Home record 6 wins for UCF 9 loss, hoping but not expecting
a win. At the same time UCF Baseball (8-1 #2 in Big 12) playing the #4 Florida Gators away. before heading off to Norman to start Big 12 play. Watching 2 games at once. Basketball more likely playing in NIT. Baseball this weekend should be a good gauge the season.
So what do you think about Kyle Whittingham now???? I think Oklahoma state, West Virginia, and K-State would go to the SEC. Utah, Colorado and BYU would go to the B1G
A&M and the longhorns don’t want any other Texas team in the sec. With the new teams on the west side joining, the Big 10 might want to expand south and tap into the Texas market taking Houston since they are the 4th largest city in the nation with the best recruiting. That would be a major win for the Big 10.

I can’t feel bad for the ACC, because they started the poaching of teams when they destroyed Big East football.
If you’re already in the big ten and sec you are not getting left out period. Even if they are not a great team it’s just that they’re lucky enough to be in the good conference. There will never be any teams taken out. Only added.
It’s not what the athletic department has money wise. It’s how many people watch the games so how much money is fox and espn willing to pay for the opportunity to broadcast the games.

Any football product that has a final table with 3 teams from the state of Indiana and 2 from the state of Texas is destined to fail. These tv carriers will implode. As an ISU fan idk why people keep talking about this loss by 60 by big 12 team. Georgia could and did do that to every team that year. TCU beat the lauded big 10 Michigan that beat OSU. Stop talking like they didn't deserve to be there. The beat Mich to get there.

Hey, ESPN is not going to kill off good TV markets. The SEC and B10 can’t unilaterally make a super league without ESPN involved and wanting this.
The B1G will never kick schools out. You're insane. Andy isnt dumb enough to propose that. SEC wont kick out South Carolina, MSU, Vandy, Kentucky etc. Wont be kicked out.
The worst part about the whole thing is, the B12 would have been as strong or stonger than the Big 10 if it wasn't for Texas firebombing the conference every chance it got. Had we never lost Missouri, Nebraska, A&M and Colorado in the beginning and Texas be willing to work productively for the conference instead of just itself, they would have remained strong and could have waited for the Pac to implode and collected the strongest of them (USC, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Arizona and Utah or BYU)
Houston and TCU to the big 10 put money on it
If BIG12 adds from the ACC these are the ONLY teams that should be considered, based strictly on how much value that add(Increasing payouts) to the conference:
FSU, Clemson, UNC, Louisville, VTech, NCState, GTech, Miami
Those are the programs that would increase annual payouts if added. Realistically speaking, BIG12 likely only has a shot to add Louisville, GTech, VTech, NCState, and maybe UNC & Miami.
Every other ACC program should form a new conference by combining with G5.
Then there would be 3 Power conferences.
Each conference gets 2 automatic bids + 1 G5 bid and 5 or 7 at large bids(depending if its a 12 or 14 team playoff). The 3 conference champions + the highest ranked non-conference champion gets a first round bye. Revenues from CFP should take 50%-60% and split evenly among P3 conferences. The remaining 50%-40% should be reflective of the teams who make the playoffs.
Ranking systems should use a formula and ELIMINATE SUBJECTIVITY. Using strength of schedule, win margins, efficiency, # of wins, types of loss(barely losing in OT to a ranked team on the road or getting beat by multiple possessions at home vs unranked opponent). Pre-season rankings are not in any way used to skew initial rankings. CFP Rankings should only be formulated after the 10th game of the season to collect as much data points as possible.
Every P3 team must play at least 10 P3 opponents which includes at least 1 Out of Conference P3 opponent. This will increase cross pollination of the data set for analysis/ranking and help mitigate skewed formula rankings from to compartmentalization. Teams that play 11 P3 opponents or multiple out of conference P3 opponents will be weighted(Which should entice more cross conference games, more competition, and eliminate the SEC's known mid November bye week playing D2 teams) in the formula.
Subjectivity must be eliminated from the process or this is how corruption & biases will effect outcomes. Everything should be based on objective data and not perceptions or $.
OR
SEC & BIG10 both add teams to hit 48 total teams and form their own league. The remaining P4 programs form their own league. Then both leagues have their own playoffs, their own championship, and perhaps the champions could be play….
Maybe the BIG12 and ACC need to merge and do relegation for themselves? Otherwise it is likely that the top half of the ACC joins forces with the top half of the BIG12 anyway.
