Alright, so it’s spoooookkkyyy season, Werewolf By Night is out now and in this video we’re gonna be breaking down the story, who this harry little wolfman is, some of the easter eggs and theories, along with our reaction and review for this first and hopefully not the last Marvel Special Presentation uhhh special.
Werewolf By Night had long been rumored as a Halloween special, but kept very quiet, so it’s kinda crazy to see Marvel try their hand at something so out of the box, which could open the door for more supernatural/horror Marvel characters like Ghost Rider, Daimon Hellstrom, or even Mephisto. That dirty demon dude is gonna show up soon, mark my words.

Now it opens on the new Marvel special presentation logo that I assume will be standard for these one off specials, as we get the usual Marvel fanfare intro. However this intro loses its coloring and the music dips into a horror-like chanting orchestra, already showcasing the musical abilities of Michael Giacchino. With added claw marks leaning into the Werewolf nature of the story and a Frankenstein electricity shock transforms the overall aesthetic into something more akin to the 30’s or 40’s monster movie title cards that this is pulling inspiration from, specifically Universal’s The Wolf Man intro from 1941.

We need jack to turn into a full blown bigger stronger werewolf, a lycan wolf head during a full moon. This could be how jack fights moon knight for the first time. During a full moon when he is at his strongest when the beast takes over fully . the wolf man is dope but it would be cool if werewolf can do this just like in the more recent comics

I scanned the comments to see if anyone brought this up, but I didn't see anyone address it. You mentioned the "fake" cigarette burns in the corner of the film. Those are not fake cigarette burns, they are fake "cue dots". I learned this in film class in college. You don't see these anymore at the theater because the movies are digital. But when you had the old reel to reel films, the reels of film were only 20 minutes long. At the 20-minute mark, a Cue Dot would show up in the upper right-hand corner that told the projectionist that he/she had 5 seconds before the next reel would start. In 5 seconds, you would see another Cue Dot and boom the next reel would start and it looked pretty seamless. The projectionist did this manually!
After you learn this, you can't unsee this and you always knew when the reels were changing. But the untrained eye never really saw them. Great video by the way. We are subscribed to your channel and watch regularly!!!
