We’re losers and we always will be…. First time watching IT Chapter 2 movie reaction

Badd Medicine here and its horror reaction time

Another good one here. Fantastic job by all the actors in this one, Bill Hader, Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Skarsgård, Isaiah Mustafa, and the rest of the crew. Great message here that we found. What message did you take away from the movie?

Defeated by members of the Losers’ Club, the evil clown Pennywise returns 27 years later to terrorize the town of Derry, Maine, once again. Now adults, the childhood friends have long since gone their separate ways. But when people start disappearing, Mike Hanlon calls the others home for one final stand. Damaged by scars from the past, the united Losers must conquer their deepest fears to destroy the shape-shifting Pennywise — now more powerful than ever.

  1. I totally believe that house is still there. My family owned a house that was 140 years old and made of wood and still standing. It was dilapidated and we eventually had it torn down, but a house like that will stand for a surprisingly long time.

  2. The reactor on the left – I think Oak? I don't know his backstory, but feel he brings a negative vibe to everything and always looks bored or super tired. Detracts from the watching.

  3. Great movie, and great story. Stephen King is an incredible author, and his popularity is not a fluke. He mixes high concepts and low…serious issues with base pop culture. IT is a lot of peoples' favorite Stephen King book, if not their favorite novel. I love the way the story is split straight down the middle between the childhood experience, and the adult experience 27 years later. The Losers as adults put a band-aid on their trauma, and continue to relive their past with toxic patterns. When they come together, and lean on each other, and open up, they can face things more directly. The Losers finally WIN. It's a great message. Stephen King takes good and evil seriously, and the respects the weirdness of the human mind. Strange dude…great storyteller.

  4. A quite disturbing fact is that the hate crime in the beginning of this film/in the book is based on an actual hate crime /murder that happened in Kings town

  5. What Oak was saying in the beginning can definitely be a way of looking at it… but that can also be applied to every movie ever made 😂😂

But the point is I do look at this adaptation as more of a fairy tale, they even have the magical kiss that wakes up Beverly. Beautiful story, awkwardly adapted.

  6. I like that you pointed out that Eddie's wife is just like his mom. What you missed is that she was played by the same actress.
(Also, the actress who was used for the missing Betty Ripson flyers in the Ch 1 plays one of the bullies that throws the man off the bridge at the beginning).

  7. You should really give The Shining a try (the one from the 90's, not the one from 1980 with Jack Nicholson). Stephen King hate the 1980's adaptation so he made his own version, and it's one of the best book-to-movie adaptations I've ever seen, as it was directed and produced by Stephen King himself.

  8. You guys should watch "The Haunting of Hill House". It is a horror tv show but it deals with trauma and grief and it's so poetic in a way. It is the best horror tv show to me, because it's brillant horror. Horror is very subjective but the best kind is the one you can relate to, because that's what makes you even more afraid.
Really, I can't stress it enough: watch The Haunting of Hill House. I want to see your reactions to this brillant show!

  9. love this cast, both the kids and the adults. i hate horror movies but my love for the friendship bits outweighed my fear and I was able to enjoy both films. also idk if u noticed but the kids had grown between movies (especially finn) so they had to cgi their faces a bit lmao. the first movie was what actually made me finally watch stranger things because I enjoyed finn wolfhard so much (which is funny bc I don’t like mike in stranger things lol)

  10. I don't know if anyone else has suggested this or if you've already seen the film, but I highly recommend "The Others" (2001). Nicole Kidman is the lead & she gives an amazing performance in her role. I'm not a big fan of Nicole Kidman but I have to say she did one hell of an act! It is not a bloody guts & gore with lots of violence type of movie, but rather a good old fashioned ghost story… with a twist. All the actors, especially the two little kids, give top notch performances. I think you guys would enjoy a film that is just really good story telling, which keeps you on the edge of your seat from the opening scene to the closing credits. Plus it is a "period piece" so it takes place during WW2. The movie was so beautifully filmed – the set & costume design, house & grounds location, etc. It all adds to the overall "spooky" vibe of the story, as it slowly unfolds & leaves you guessing until the end.
