🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

  1. I’m not gonna lie, the voice acting in this game is completely over the top for me. And who honestly curses that much? Basically seeing if I can get over it so thanks for your vids man.

  2. Am I the only one that's sick of edgy protagonists? I wish game characters would behave a little more like real people. Any real person would be in such gratitude of a cuff (uh sorry, vambrace) that gives them power. It's also quite well mannered. I don't know, it kind of rbeaks the fantasy when the protagonist is not relatable at all.

  3. This game seems very much on brand for Square Enix recently. Open world with almost nothing to interact with, witty player character with enough edge they might cut themselves, and flashy combat with little depth.

  4. I think a large part of why so many people seem to hate Frey is because they are still angry about Velma, except they are nothing alike. With the terrible situation Frey is in, it makes sense that she hates people

  5. The voice acting seems fine beyond cuff sounding really muffled compared to the protagonist. I think the initial trailers made it seem much more awful than intended. I'm hoping the story is written well enough and there's better character development. Only wierd thing I'm seeing is facial Animations seem worse than what mass effect Andromeda had

  6. This whole protagonist is insufferable. And she's so uncanny, talking about every single useless thing and commenting, like we need that to not grow bored with the silence.

It has other problems but aforementioned is poisoning the whole game.

  7. Seems like Frey and Cuff were made for each other – nothing like two distinct flavours of sarcasm constantly trying to outdo each other, and I can appreciate Frey’s snark much more now that she’s got someone (something?) equally flippant to bounce off. The game has its flaws, but I’m intrigued to unravel Cuff’s history and see how their bond develops as they grow to rely on each other.

  8. In her shoes I would've just sat down and for like two hours spent getting every bit of information out of the cuff that I could before doing anything if left uninterrupted

  9. Horrible camera angle and the fact that theres so many unneccessary pauses to gameplay is enough for me to skip this. Will be watching videos though, I like the idea.

  10. Caught episode one of your play through last night immediately ordered a copy to collect today!
Just a heads-up, I think Youtube is playing silly games again. As a subscriber to your channel and having watched the first episode, youtube is recommending me to watch FightinCowboy's videos and i'm having to actively search for your series through your channel page. Not sure if there's anything you can do about that but thought it best you were aware.
Anyway, love the channel, loving this let's play series, can't wait to play along too!

  11. This game is a bit off the mark, for a square unix game, which is a shame. It looked really good but the world looks really bland. And like why is she cursing so much? I get it. You're trying to portray a " what if you really got isekai'd" but honestly I'm getting "Velma" vibes. I can watch your playthrough tho. Makes it bearable.

  12. And so the journey begins with the most irritating characters to appear in a game and terrible dialogue !!
Giles from Buffy the vampire slayer will be turning in his yet to be grave at this terrible imitator

  13. The scarring on her face is from the fire.
Okay game so far, invested in the story at least.
    Hope it plays out well!

Anyone know what the reference is when she says "I'm not somewhere on earth, there are monsters, and I'm talking to a freaking cuff!" ? It's driving me crazy 😆

  14. The lack of worthwhile dialogue, excess useless cursing (may be funny to some but like I pref dead pool type of humor this is just there without reason imo), performance issues, open world but with nothing to do leaves you running around… Like just make a good game .-. interesting mechanics but that's where it ended for me. Also a weird take on isekai but also why so many stereotypes lol… it's a game we don't care…
