  1. I have three bumper stickers: Reading is Sexy, Intelligence is the Ultimate Aphrosesiac, and Be Interesting. Life is complex and women are attracted to smart men who can handle it. Alpha-male vibes hint of neediness and danger and fuck, nobody needs more of those.

  2. 2:25 True. Not the DNC's swiftest maneuver, since we are a pretty sizable voting bloc, and WAY more susceptible to flattery, since we don't get much, lacking vaginas and all. They left us wide open to people like Tate (a rather better manipulator than Trump, hopefully ineligible for President 🙏)

  3. First 5 minutes … assumes another man is guilty of rape. Russell Brand. Then I heard the father day he wants his son to be liberal. Not learn the truth, not question power.

Beta dudes talking. Example of why young boys are more conservative. Don’t grow up to be rainbows betas like these dudes who can’t define a women

  4. One reason bits about confederate monuments might not go over in LA or elsewhere is that until you've actually seen a bunch of them, you don't really realize how shocking they are. My first trip to Richmond, Virginia was eye-opening. I truly couldn't believe all those huge statues were STILL so prominent in our day and age. Yes, this was a while ago.

  5. Founding father and 2nd President, John Adams, specifically wrote, “my sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.” I am surprised more MAGA republicans who claim to know everything about the intentions of our founding fathers, haven’t realized Adams was a “liberal queer,” just like the rest of us progressives.

  6. My daddy, father-in-law, and husband, his brothers and uncles were all avid hunters. before our children were school age, I was the hunting camp cook. No one treated me or spoke to me with any kind of disrespect. My oys were/are not known tobe disrespectful to women or people in general for that matter.

  7. "alpha male" LOL what a load of crap that is. I guarantee some guy made that up because women aren't looking for that. In fact, they will run away (if they have any sense) Just be a person.

The weird thing about memory is the oldest come back. My mom had Alzheimer's, and right about the time she had to be in a care unit, she talked about her dad as though he was alive and in her life. I met the man once, and he had been out of her life since she was 11.

  8. My husband talks about a stag bar he went to in his 20's where guys could just hang out together. They decided to let women start coming in and the very first night two guys got in a fight over one of the women. He said it ruined everything that was great about that hangout.

  9. I'm 64 and I've always thought that real men respect women. Real men are strong enough to show compassion and sensitivity. Also, men who feel threatened by the rights of LGBTQ+ people are whiny snowflakes.

  10. I think the problem with masculinity on the left it's not about projecting all the time. On the right there's aggression, acting insecure, treating women like cattle, extremely expensive clothes/items and using vulgar language; all of which are things you flaunt in public.
Whereas qualities like strength, security, maturity, having money in the bank, etc. are things you can't turn into a four second viral clip.

  11. Tween-wise they have Mr. Beast. As annoying as content is sometimes, he literally puts his money where his mouth is, does a ton of charity, and fiercely stands by his best friend who came out as trans last year. I have a lot of respect for him despite his ridiculous videos. He may end up being a bit of an anti-Tate. He just has to speak up more.

  12. Corey! I meant to comment on this when you said it last week (was it last week) that you were getting into chewing tobacco. Not to sound preachy, but please don't. My cousin, now in his 60s, chewed when he was in his 20s, and he got throat cancer in his 30s. Had to have most of his vocal cords removed and part of his jaw. That's decades of not being able to speak in a normal volume, and progressively poor eating ability over time. In fact, he can't have solids any more at all. Chew is even worse than cigarettes for cancer. I want you to be using your voice to stick it to the MAGAs for a looooooong time!

  13. I’m about 20 min in and a lil tipsy but this is reminding me of a convo I had with my veteran husband about the VFW. I asked him if he was interested in joining one and his response was, “if I wanted to hang out with old racist veterans, I’d call my uncles.” Love y’all!

  14. I really appreciate the way you guys talk, you talk like the common man and you say it as it is and I really appreciate that. This is the first podcast I've ever listened to of you guys. But you are right when you insult them they start thinking Wait. Why do I care about this stuff? So it actually does work to get Republicans and conservatives to actually think about this surroundings. Cuz usually they just hate to hate

  15. There are lots of "manly" things other than hunting or fighting – you can make things (carpentry, metalwork), fix things (mechanics, plumbing) or go get things (logging/firewood/lumber), and they all require good thinking and common sense and problem solving and reading and arithmetic and their own kinds of intellectualism and storytelling. Being a man is a lot of things other than douchebaggery.

  16. The comedian GOAT for me is George Carlin. I was so excited to get to see him live for his final tour working up his last special.

  17. How many times do we have to do this exercise in fucking up literacy? Anecdotally, the kids born in Texas in 1951 didn't learn phonics, but kids born in 1952 had phonics. A friend pointed that out and it's basically head cannon at this point

  18. Corey's laughing but maybe he should look at that New Math, I'm older than yall but when I set down to help my nephew with his homework a few years ago I was surprised to see they were teaching kids to do math the way I'd always been doing it in my head since I was a kid myself. I'm sure it helped a lot of kids, but I think they shortsightedly disadvantaged a lot of other students by only teaching it one way.

I think it's the same way for reading. I read that some public schools are approving going back to teaching phonics but one state's gone as far as banning teaching it the way that they've decided is "failing". Well, what if that way actually works better for some learners? Why would you tie educators' hands that way? That kind of binary fallacy in education approach is what's really failing children.
