  1. I'll say that the quests and missions in Starfield are by far it's best content. Ive found myself staying awake longer than I should just because I was so engrossed in the story I wanted to know what would happen. The random exploration exists, I think, to be a means to get resources and credits that let you get better equipment to tackle the missions. The exploration is definitely not necessary. Also, speak with Vasco again about joining you crew and you can have him come with you aboard your ship.

  2. you can automatically hide your spacesuit, same as your helmet. Hides your guns, suit and pack, but they're all still there, so your backpack still works. It's in the suit menu

  3. I’m glad you appreciate what Bethesda has done with face expressions. Seems everyone else is comparing with mocap faces in games like TLOU and something like that is just not feasible for a game of this scope.

  4. "Alright guys, we're just going to completely abandon the main quest, and all we're going to do is hire people for a crew, and just fly to planets, and do space battles, and just be a scoundrel. The main quest of Starfield is my quest, I don't need Constellation. All I need is my ship, and a crew, and we're good to go!"
Perfectly valid way to play this game, actually! That's actually how I've been playing it. Flying around and doing interesting side content is way more fun than the stuff with Constellation.

  5. I really can't condone save scumming, but I really enjoyed 10:54, so now I'm conflicted. The thing I really like about watching your playthrough is your willingness to jump swim away from the city and go into the wilderness to fight some pterodactyls. There are so many times I have plans for what I want to do, I start on those plans, and then I get involved in some crazy fun quest line that distracts me for hours and hours. I am looking forward to seeing what your journey is like!

  6. Check Options > Ship > Crew to Assign Vasco to your ship, it makes a great extra storage when your cargo hold and own inventory is maxed.
Feels like you’re taking a while to get back into ‘Bethesda game’ mode and forgetting about basic stuff like sleeping in an owned bed (at the Lodge or in ship) for the Well Rested 10% XP bonus, a free heal and a quick save.
And of course there’s romance options!
Recruiting Crew is a big part of the game, I’ve seen some LPs totally miss out on valuable crew members due to not bothering to talk to them.

  7. This is already the funniest playthrough of Starfield I’ve watched. I’ll be concentrating on the game and Mapo will say something completely outta pocket that makes me cackle. Great series so far!

  8. Companions that literally say "you do whatever you like I'm fine with it" is quite poor writing because it literally eliminates any character growth, dramas, emotions, story arcs.
Baldur's Gate 3 kinda ruined everything, I can't look at RPG and not compare it.

  9. I did not buy any ship. I came across an enemy ship in one of the planets and cleared it out to make it mine. Saves a ton of credits since the cost to upgrade< cost to buy a brand new ship.

  10. As in Skyrim, I would have liked if we can direct our companion to a direction of our choosing.

Don't know how photo mode works in this game, but being able to place someone at a specific spot would be nice.
