This is the exact opposite of Russell Wilson. There are a shitload of variables, and just taking a QB who was good in a certain system, and moving them to another system doesn't mean it'll work. And sometimes, it does. This is a "Money Ball" moment for the NFL IMO.
I coached the O-Coordinated for a single San Diego Stallions semipro game in 2008 and we were 0-4 up to that point. And when I was given the book, and saw what I had to work with, I knew what I had to do. No huddle, gun-pro, Read Option. No play calling. Same play the entire first series. Score.
Then we mixed it up, told the opponent we were gonna do other stuff. When they signaled they knew us. Gun pro, read option. Score.
Rinse repeat. That was the crew we had, on that day.
