At the Mars Desert Research Station the views are spectacular, granting the surreal experience of being on Mars.
In May 2023 the Transatlantic Mars Crew 261 embarked on a Mars analogue astronaut mission. Our crew conducted research, experiments, and art in just two short weeks. During EVAs (extra vehicular activities), we donned spacesuits and explored the surroundings.
After each expedition, there was a semblance of the feeling of returning home upon reaching the habitat.
This begs the thought, once humanity establishes a base on Mars, what will it be like to return home? The theme of arriving home is bookmarked by exploration before and after. What the journey has been, and possibilities for the journey ahead.
This cinematic film explores this theme by experiencing the awe of the environmental surroundings that Mars encompasses.

The incredible video footage was graciously captured by drone pilot Julien (and real pilot, too!). As well as photography by the remarkable Kris. I created the video edit. And of course, this was made possible with support from the entire crew.

this is amazing
At 2:36 I spotted weeds, this proves it, life exists on another planet, further investigation is needed to determine if the weeds are intelligent.
Amazing Footage! Such a cool place
Wow Mars really sucks. Let's nobody ever go there.
