Dean, the title Weird West comes from the genre of the same name in which this game is placed. It is usually one or more of fantasy western, horror western and/or sci-fi western. The TTRPG Deadlands is a popular game in the genre. Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare DLC is also considered to be weird west.
