Weekly Beats # 7 – Polygons (let's Jungle)

I stumbled upon some really cool jungle tracks from @Dusqk (check out his album Heaven.exe on Youtube it’s gorgeous) and realized I did like this kind of music. Never been much of a Dnb or jungle fan, but it made me question this, as the choice of sounds and the composing sounded neat. Especially that Playstation 1 era. Good memories!

So I decided to have a go for this week’s submission. Not as simple as I thought to pick the right samples and to manage to stay in key. Especially because – my mistake -, for the first pad I used the Jupiter from Arturia and tweaked a preset, but realized way too late that it was pretty out of tune. So I tried again and again to get some lead sounds with the hypersynth or FM and couldn’t quite fit the key.

I used a lot of old 90’s CD samples, some FM here and there for FX and the first low bass. I had a blast making it.

I hope you’ll like it!

Until the second album lands (soon!), first M8 album including all the tracks’ bundles is still available on bandcamp: hoxeed.bandcamp.com/album/im-tired
