Georgia is going to be fine but needs to get healthy, Alabama is playing to Milroe’s strength, the G5 has had a TREMENDOUS start to the season while Florida and Florida State have looked just down right TERRIBLE. The Big Ten is a work in progress, the ACC is probably a 1 bid league in the CFP, the Big 12 might be the most fun conference to watch right now and the SEC will load up with teams in the CFP. All that and more as Greg McElroy gives you his biggest takeaways from Week 3 of the college football season.

Seems like McElroy just takes ideas from other cfb podcasts. Upon further review is a staple of the cover 3 podcast on mondays. They also have an instant reaction on Saturday nights. Idk just feels like a lot of unoriginality.
Completely bs trying to carry the water on that blindside block
Greg mentions "we're moving into full conference play, it's going to be tough" and then remembers the SEC have their bye weeks to end the season
Georgia was missing Warren Brinson, Jordan Hall, and Mykel Williams…they'll be back and the depth will be there again
During the bama broadcast gus tells klatt "partner theres nothing better than a night game in an SEC stadium" 😂
On the “blindside” block: what was Kennard supposed to do? Get out of Nussmeier’s way?
The problem is liberals have created so many rules the game stops after every play because there’s a flag on every play
Horns fan here. Arch is the future, but Ewers is the present and needed this year to go far in the playoffs. I’m thankful we have two amazing 1st rounders at QB! Hookem
The SEC teams that win out will be the teams that have the fewest impactful injuries. The Orange Bowl showed that FSU does NOT have a good culture.
Not if the refs start getting fined for bad calls
i think SoCarolina is going to win a few games people expect them to lose – a QB that can outrun a safety for 75 yards TD run is badd azz and ROCKET running – and a defense that scores multiple TDs a game
Best you don't try to evaluate bad calls since you won't trust your own eyes.
Imagine that an ESPN spokesperson taking up for horrible officiating. Even your boy Josh Pate busted on the official. You sound like a talking piece for ESPN and I’m not even a fan of the Chickens.
Upon further review.. think it’s safe to say the next few years are going to be about Arch Manning
Greg is such a LSU hater. Garrett might have been pressured but guess what? They gave up only 1 sack. So stfu
I can't believe there are actually people who think playoff expansion is automatically good for the game. They're absolutely going to hate this year's field, as you've said. We the consumer of the product do NOT get a better product with a 12 team playoff over a 4 team playoff – we get a less meaningful regular season + championship Saturday all while lining the pockets of TV execs who are the ONLY winners of an expanded playoff.
I want to see UCF be undefeated by the time they play Iowa State. That includes beating Colorado, Florida, and Cincinnati. I would love to see them as a CFP team
NORVELL EXPOSED THIS YEAR AND BEYOND. LAST YEAR WAS BECAUSE NORVELL HAD ALL STARTERS INCLUDING 5TH YEAR SENIOR QB TRAVIS COMING BACK. 1 GOOD YEAR IN 5 YEARS AND GETS GUARANTEED $110 MILLION CONTRACT. PATHETIC
FSU needs to fire Mike Norvell immediately 0-3 start is Unacceptable if they go 0-4 he has to go.
Why don't you give Kentucky some credit, for the way Georgia played 🤔
Greg. Longhorn fan here. You are absolutely correct. Longhorns should of had a backup QB that could allow them to win or at least be competitive. Mack and all coaches have to have a capable backup, especially in a championship game.
Gregg the most impactful play was the fantom Offensive pass interference call on a 50 yard completion to the LSU 29. I cost South Carolina the yardage and an addition 15 yards. Carolina fumbled two palay later.
I always love hearing Greg McElroy complain about Florida. I don't know what it is they did to him, but they live in his head. I don't know if it happened during his playing career, or if it was how McElwain was treated. Also, the blaming the FSU players as being distracted by a lawsuit and behind closed door conference administration meetings is ridiculous. Had to turn it off before my eyes rolled out of my head.
I’m impressed with your extensive coverage of this week’s games.
Coach Urban shocked me too on Sat. 7?!? Whoa! The haters will come out in droves if that happens. LoL!
Just shave your head Mack and grow a beard, wife will like it
Of course SECN is pushing this conference that is so overrated again this year. I’m not watching espn garbage anymore
Milroe is feast and famine, I would mark him as Blake Simms with better athletic skills, so absolute garbage in terms of QB skill
Bama fan here. You’re totally wrong on the second call being correct. The QB was hit with both hands on the chest. A player isn’t allowed to hit the QB when he has the opportunity to tackle the player returning the interception. Idiocy reigns! 🎉
Use to listen to you on the Sirius morning show. Waste of time here
Fsu wont win until DJ is benched
So you’re telling me Bama doesn’t have o-line depth?
There’s a reason Nick didn’t want Jason Autry calling any more Bama games Greg. Every game he does ends up being one of the highest penalized games of the weekend. I hate when referees stick their nose too far into a game and end up affecting the outcome.
Greg been on the Big 12 payroll for a while now
At least show the game footage if you are going to comment on a call. Provide video evidence to support your claim.
A meteorologist with a tornado fetish, beat you on this one.
SEC is going to beat each other out of the playoffs.
The South Carolina loss was a discipline problem for S Carolina. Players just need to have some self-control during ballgames. Simple as that.
Loved the breakdown of backup QBs and how that situation often plays out lol
5:28 Would this said host be Josh Pate? 😂😂😂
I don’t understand why teams like Michigan, Florida, and Florida State don’t have better options at quarterback. Hello?? You can actually pay players now, go get a viable quarterback. There are better options sitting on the bench in Texas, Georgia, etc. I don’t get it.
Oh, the Josh Pate callout eh? I dig it
Does deion Sanders and dabo Sweeney both end up in Florida
judging the first 3 weeks of the season im going to go on the record and state that half of the 12 teams in the playoffs will have more than 2 losses. too many party spoilers in the sec this year. nobody in the big 10 other than ohio state amazes in the eyeball test. not much at all to speak of as far as defensive dominance in the big 12. THIS WILL BE THE WILDEST NCAA FOOTBALL SEASON EVERY WITNESSED!!!💯
Clark Shirley Williams Anthony Martinez Linda
Sounds like you keep beating dead horse
33:01 it’s all good Miami will carry the conference all by itself gladly 😊
DJ was 3-0 around this time last year with Oregon St.
With Norvell calling the plays and with Norvell’s handpicked players around him? 0-3
Instead of demanding better from the university, instead fsu fans carry water for a coach that has been 0-3 in three of the five seasons he has been at fsu.
Unserious fanbase.
Any noise about Arch taking over for Ewers is coming from national pundits. Texas fans are excited about the future of the program under Arch, but we love Ewers and this is his team. Quinn ‘s pre-snap reads and motions are next level and he has been nothing short of amazing this year. He has been dicing up defenses and consistently making the right reads. We are just relieved to not have to worry about whether our backup can keep us out of situations like what happened at Houston or Kansas State last year. Hook’em Quinn! Glad you came back and looking forward to where you can lead this team.
