We Weren't Quite Ready For This Roller Coaster At Disney's Magic Kingdom But We Tried!

In today’s vlog we head to Disney’s Magic Kingdom to finally try to ride the brown rolly coasty, which is what Jackson calls the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train lol. He’s finally tall enough to ride it and has been asking if we can go to Magic Kingdom, so today’s the day! We met up with our friends Nick, Francie, Luke and Eithan for brunch beforehand at the Grand Floridian Cafe, which is always delicious. Then we head over to the park and make our way back to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, we get in line and we get all the way to the train and Jackson had a change of heart so we didn’t make it on the coaster with him today. Tim rode it but we’ll definitely come back and try again when Jackson’s ready. Then we headed out of the park but our friends were nice enough to share their footage of meeting Mickey and Minnie in the Town Square Theater! Minnie just started meeting there a couple of days ago and we’re so excited to come back and see her on our next trip! We hope you had fun hanging out with us today! Thank you for watching and we’ll see you tomorrow with a live show!

  2. I love how positive you guys are. Jackson has now ridden and attempted to ride more Roller Coasters than my partner (who is 40) lol! I think he will love it when he is ready. Rides are meant to be fun, and if you're not feeling it any point, totally okay at any age! I love Roller Coasters but don't really want to visit Halloween nights anywhere (I'm content watching videos of you other brave souls) so it's give and take with loved ones at parks and it's a good part of it, when everyone has a say 🙂

  3. We have a daughter who was in the 99th percentile. She is 29 now and 6 ft. Tall. It’s hard to remember how young they are when they are so tall. As we watched this video my comment was, “Just cause he’s tall enough doesn’t mean he’s old enough.” So, I was very happy to know he felt like he could say, “nope” and y’all listened to him! Good going mom and dad!!! 👍🏻❤️

  4. So proud of Jackson for making it all the way to the train and so happy you guys respected his decision. I have seen parents force kids into rides and then at the exit, kids throwing up from their fear. Jackson is such a brave little buddy and I’m sure that he will be ready pretty soon! I’m an adult and tbh I’m kinda terrified to go in guardians this weekend for the first time, even tho I’ve been on big rollercoasters before and loved it!! Don’t know how I feel about a spinning car coaster! Let’s hope I make it on or if not be brave enough like buddy Jackson to stay least make it to the train!!

  6. My family loves roller coasters. They have always loved roller coasters, I hated them growing up. I had ridden Everest twice in a row with my head down both times didn’t enjoy it, This was in elementary school. when I got to fifth grade my school took a trip to Universal and I remember thinking in my head “you can’t show them that you’re scared of roller coasters hannah you have to ride the rides” so my very first ride that I got on that day and force myself to ride was Hulk. I have loved roller coasters ever cents. And I think it’s because I love them so much now because I did it on my term I was like I’m gonna ride this ride because I want to ride this ride in. And I hated them whenever my family force me to ride them.

  7. I remember i was about 5 going on the Mansion. I was fine with everything up until it was time for boarding our buggies. I was afraid of the way the buggies looked with the back seat hovering over your head haha. My parents were ok with that & exited the ride 😊

  8. We did the same thing just two days before this! We had breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe and then had a wonderful day at Magic Kingdom. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was our first ride of the day!

  9. I've had my fair share of being forced on rides when I was younger, at Story Land with the Polar Coaster and the Panda Log Flume and at Canobie Lake Park with the Boston Tea Party and their Log Flume. At a fair once, I ditched this kiddie dragon coaster because I didn't like how the turn looked at the beginning of the ride. And when my family went to Disney World, I said no to Peter Pan's Flight and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tower of Terror. My parents got me on Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, and I ended up enjoying those. Nowadays I love rides, and I miss going on them so much. I agree that forcing kids or anyone to go on rides is not great. Yeah, going on the ride isn't going to hurt them, but rides are supposed to be fun. If
someone is being dragged onto the ride while they're crying and screaming, that is the opposite of what the experience is supposed to be.

  10. My mum forced me as a crying child onto splash mountain. I loved it! Years later, I talked most of my family to going onto Sheikra with me after they all backed out of the queue, so i think we are even now.

  12. Awwww. He'll ride it eventually. My son did the same thing when we were going to ride it the first time. We just tried it a different day. Now, we are working up to upside down roller coasters…. He didn't like Guardians of the Galaxy (made him sick at the end 🥺). Maybe we will try it again some day.

  13. better that he wasn't forced, my daughter desperately wanted to ride slinky dog and just made the height cut at 3.5 and rode it and now I'm afraid she is forever scared by roller coasters – and this is knowing she did fine on barnstormer LOL hoping she will forget and in her own time will ask to go on them again. Thankfully no tears were involved.

  14. I feel like it's very rare for 2.5 year olds to ride roller coasters, regardless of height requirements. I have a 12 and a 15 year old and the 12 finally rode multiple coasters on our recent visit. I'd say don't worry about pushing the coasters this early and just enjoy the other kid friendly rides there. The Sea World Sesame Street area seems to have rides that would work also. He'll eventually "level up" to bigger rides when he's ready to go.
