Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

00:00 our craziest “bed” yet…
01:11 packing our sleds for the night
03:20 trekking over a glacier
06:56 our ice cave home
14:11 our “bedroom”
18:15 coffee in the cave
19:24 hiking during avalanche warning…
23:45 Best travel hack we’ve seen!!!

  1. Having only found this channel about 6 months ago I have binged most of your videos at this point and am constantly amazed at the places and things ya'll find to do. I was lucky enough while in the Navy to get to travel and see different places and cultures but you two have inspired me to do more. Keep it up!

  2. I like that every video is "THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING THING WE/I HAVE EVER DONE" or "THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE I´VE EVER BEEN"! I love how every place you see and visit, is as gorgeous as the last and next. Love to watch you guys, and especially when you are in my home country Norway🥰

  3. Hello Kara & Nate, I would love to purchase the athletic greens. Greens + pre & probiotics are great for the body no matter the activity level. My objection is to the mushroom complex. I get extreme inflammation and pain when I eat mushrooms. I wish it was a form that didn't include any form of mushrooms.

  4. I'm still two years worth of vlogs away from catching up after starting from Vlog 1, but I sprang forward with a suggestion for more recent viewers. Go back to the early days and watch the Kenya Medical Clinic series! The view counts are SO much lower for back then, but, in the five years worth of vlogs I've watched so far, those were some of the most joyful and powerful. Plus: Nate's mom! Trust me: check 'em out!

  5. I literally just rewatched the Airplane laser tag video the other day after watching Top Gun Maverick, so it was fun to see it mentioned in this video 😂

  7. Those ice sculptures in cave are called as stalactites and stalagmites. The form because the rock is made of limestone and water passing through rock gets calcium oxide and falling down it frezzes. Sometimes it forms pillars too!
