  1. Used the new Magic-Dock station in Erie, PA on Saturday, Jan 19. It's located close to the mall which is good for a warm place to stretch your legs. Considering that this was at 18 degrees and blowing snow, the indoor amenities were welcome. Interesting enough, this is an actual busy mall with lots of retail, so unlike all the malls near my home in MA.

Was driving the Audi e-tron. And contrary to all the popular media, it charged just fine this past weekend driving from Chicago to MA. Saw a nice steady 140-150 kWh at every station we stopped at. This included an Applegreen at a New York rest area in 4" of blowing snow and temps as low as 8 degrees. I did have one minor issue. One of the chargers we stopped at had a plug with ice in the pin area. I tried poking it with a pocket knife, but it was frozen solid. Until we get a thaw, that charger is likely to be off-line all because some nitwit didn't reholster the connector properly at some point.

So, that stop in Erie… Plugged in at about 12%, went into the mall, hit the rest room, walked the full length and back. Maybe 18-20 minutes. When we stepped outside to return to the car, my phone beeped to tell me that charging had stopped at 80%. Before we could even get into the car, some impatient person in a Lucid began giving us a hard time for sitting there when charging was complete.

I just looked at him and said in a quiet voice "I'm sorry my car charges so fast I barely have enough time to hit the can before I'm back on the road again." He didn't have an answer for that. (^__^)

Still hoping we run into each other here in MA.

If you want some winter charging photos to put up on your next vid, ping me at (town in MA you live in) at BarkingDawg dot cOm. Thanks for the great show.

  2. sighhhh….. it's always sad to see a channel I used to like a lot is simply incapable of objectively cover Elon Musk in any negative light whatsoever to the point where a reply from Andrew Tate is valid coverage. I really didn't want to unsub but I'm done. All the best to Zack and Jessy.

  3. I recently traveled to Saint Peter’s Missouri. I noticed for the second time that Google Maps will tell me where a Tesla charger is located. I even verified that the charger is compatible with my Ford F150 with the Tesla app. (Which I pay a monthly membership fee to) when I arrive the Tesla app says there are no available chargers when I am the only vehicle present. Normally I would use the Tesla and start the charger with the app. I tried plugging it in just for grins and it began charging, but the exchange was solely handled by my Ford app. Luckily I still received the membership pricing. However at the next charger the same thing happened, but at an Electrified America site which I am also a member I was charged the full non-member price. These inconsistent actions make me sad for the industry. I know people that would have sold their EV the first time they were cheated at the pay portal. You dedicate an episode explaining the in’s and out’s of the apps and of the pay portals.

  4. I get FCW's when I still have my foot on the accelerator a tiny bit when approaching a red light. It always startles me, since I would never even need a brake pedal to stop behind the next car, but I guess if I kept my foot on the accelerator all the way to the next vehicle, I'd hit it. Sigh.

  5. I'd love to see a parallel stream of "but Elon" comments with the counter reasonable views. I'd say Elon's views are generally reasonable, but often actually wrong. I'd love to see both sides side by side.

  6. Did it cross your mind that the point of funds to encourage EV charging companies is not to funnel money to the largest company in the industry that will make tons of chargers without the money. Pull your heads out of Elons egotistical butt hurt backside.

  7. 22:58 So much money for so few chargers or charging stations. Seems like it should’ve been logical to include Tesla since they know a thing or two about building chargers and charging locations. That money would’ve gone further if used wisely.
    On a different topic:
How reliable are the Tesla chargers compared to non-Tesla chargers?

  8. I had to unsubscribe. Elon supporting Neo nazi agendas is not cool, and Zack and Jessie are completely ignoring it because he can do nothing wrong according to them.

  9. This administration with elon's help is actively working to dismantle my family and the family of people I love. You guys are really sweeping all that under the rug by saying that the legacy media is reporting things incorrectly? I believe this is the beginning of the decline of this channel
