  1. 11:00 I disagree that there is no reason to not let you respec at any point in the game at no cost. In a game like Dark Souls, being able to change your build at any point would take away a lot of the unique challenges that occur when you have to commit to one playstyle.

  2. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm cracking up!!!
Asmon really thinks the Steam numbers are legit, LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'd recommend 'The China Show Ep. 226' to you.
Right now, the 'Little Pinks' are playing Wu Kong like crazy.
Even you have fallen for the communists' soft power tricks

  4. Two things can be true, it can be both a solid game and artificially elevated by synthetic reviews. I have seen a lot of copy and pasted Chinese characters in reviews from fake accounts. People don't understand how common this kind of stuff is in China. There is a good post on reddit from a Chinese guy who explains the classic "Chinese cheater" meme and why these things are so prevalent across Chinese society.

  5. 27:50 everyone is rushing to reap the Youtube views. This statement shows he hasn't done the homework – from the initial trailer release (which included gameplay) to today, it should have helped to set expectations along the way. And unlike many AAA games, this game delivered on-time and with enough depths that many will fail to grasp without proper digging.

  6. As a Chinese player, I can say that Journey to the West is a household name in China, known by everyone from 80-year-old elders to 5-year-old children. BMW (Black Myth: Wukong) is so popular not only because it is China's first AAA game, but also because it incorporates a lot of cultural elements, regional music, and more. Many structures in the game, such as statues and temples, are faithfully recreated on a 1:1 scale based on real-life counterparts. It is this high quality and rich cultural content that has attracted many Chinese people, including those who have never played games before, to take an interest in this one.
However, as the first AAA game from Game Science, I admit there are still some shortcomings, such as invisible walls, optimization issues, and so on. Therefore, I don't want it to be overly hyped in China or other countries. Sharing a game and its cultural elements with other countries is a joyful thing, but I hope everyone can approach it with a rational perspective.

  7. Just the player count alone is an astonishing feat from a companies first game, first AAA game. It deserves every bit of praise it gets for an amazing story, a stunningly jaw dropping world and fun, engaging boss fights
I really hope their DLC or sequel gets expanded in exploration. My only gripe is all the invisible walls 😫 I just wanna explore more of it lol
