Ark Survival Ascended has had a rough last few days. From being shadow-dropped in a video description on Steam, to being released that same day but with delay after delay. Not to mention, all console players (Xbox, Playstation and Windows) have been excluded until some time in November. I have actually gone into Ark Survival Ascended on Steam and tested out the game for myself, and the performance is all over the place! My PC hardware is more tailored for huge, 4K render jobs – but it can also handle the high demands of 4K PC Gaming. Ark Survival Ascended doesn’t appear to be well optimized, and I’ve also had a small crashing problem as well. Finally, we need to discuss how Nitrado seems to have changed the server hosting agreement, and I was able to reach out to NeddyTheNoodle for a quick call to fill me in on the details. I really hope Wildcard can get this sorted out quickly, so players like Neddy will be able to continue making superb Ark content.

why are peple so pissy about console delays? pc gamers dont even complain if they dont get a port of console games, much less if there were delays lol
Just curious. But why would anyone need 200+ gb of ram for a gaming computer? I would think that after 32gb or 64gb you would no longer get any benefits from more ram. At this point faster ram would be more beneficial I think. I'm not a computer except or anything like that. I'm just curious.
The inability to self host makes this game a 100% non-starter for me. Imagine buying CoD or Halo and having to pay a 3rd party to play with your friends and family…even if it’s in your own home.
Imagine how great this game would be if the companies behind it were not absolute garbage weasels.

This piece of hot garbage is so badly optimized that you struggle to run it on ultra on a 4090. This should absolutely be talked about, but I guess Ark players are so used to the garbage optimization that they think this is normal or something? That should be the number 1 complaint, not server stuff. You won't have anyone to play the servers anyway if you need a 2080 to play the game at 40-60fps on goddanm MEDIUM 1080p. That's fucking absurd beyond the point of belief

You should take this video down as they resolved the community server issue. People will get the wrong idea if you keep this video up without an update.

The only way I'd buy another Studio Wildcard game is if it was $10 or less. Especially a fucking remake of a game that is less than 10 years old.
It’s better than what it was and that’s pretty much all we ever could have asked for (and received) there was no way they were going to give us exactly what we expected. Although I believe it would have been entirely possible, it was never gonna happen. And although expectations were high (obviously due to it being portrayed as the solution to all our previous ark problems) I will still find a way to have a lot of fun. But the final no no for me was making everyone pay $70 AUS after having never fixed the original game, promising the remaster in a bundle with Ark 2, only to have that idea whisked away. And then you find out snail games started a failed elec car company with their profits it’s all soo lazy/political/greedy.
But I hope to see you all on server near me 🎉❤ I hope everybody finds something they can enjoy. Let us be the victors by sleeping easy at night.
Brazilian launch was even more messed, the original price was R$109, couple hours later, R$198 with a 10% off from R$220….. LOL

Game are to demanding for consoles and they will need optimise alot for it and downgrade graphics and probably add frame generation or some kind of resolution upscaling to achive playable fps
No wonder that console delayed because on 4k with rtx 4090 you cannot push on 60fps even with dlss. and even FG on Epic so for consoles they will need downgrade on lowest possible + resolution upscalling to achive 30fps
lol game is trash, pvp is horrid, everything is laggy and rubber bandy, servers are constantly crashing and theres nothing new
