VIC is hands down most annoing faction to fight aganist, and one of the most fun factions to play as.
Nothing beats infinite flux oriaxes armed with double plasma canons and longbow bombers, spitting hell and radiation with its ship systems.
Is there a option on the skill tab turn to the next set click a spot add mining base and siphon station to that list you don't need to colonize the planet just make a base!

Expanded magazines would be a good hull mod to build into your battle cruiser, also I would seriously recommend the better s mods mod. It makes building in mods of lower costs much more worth it.

LOVING this series again my guy, so good. Look forward to them every other day. And for real, don't worry about spending "to much time on ship design". I think it's great to see you go through and design the ships to be the most bad ass you can.
Threatx can you try out that big volkov weapon you picked up 2 or 3 episodes ago. I am pretty sure those are very good. Its beside of the prisoners in your inventory.
Even with supplies gained, you're still at a loss because of repairs, I would think.
