We spent more days on the road and finally settled into a camp in the Badlands SD for a badly needed rest from travel. Now I just have to keep Lefty away from the cliffs!

My name is David and with my dog Lefty we live full time in our ambulance conversion RV. I made this change to my life and you can too! Like, subscribe and comment – Lefty would appreciate it – he wants the adventures to keep coming!
The Campulance is a 2002 Ford E450 Marque Commando 164 Class III ambulance powered by the Ford 7.3l Powerstroke turbo diesel engine and a 4 speed 4R100 transmission. Lefty is a 65lb Staffordshire Terrier (best I can tell) that came from the Verona Street Animal Shelter in March 2014 at the age of 9 months. We have been living full time in the campulance since July 2019.

Just love the scenery on your journey. I love watching Lefty sleeping in the front seat. I traveled from South Florida to PA with 3 big dogs and it was alot of work. We slept at rest areas in btw the 18 wheelers for safety and because the humming from the trucks helped us sleep comfortably. I had to stop quite a bit to let the dogs out to stretch thier legs, do thier business and to rotate them in the SUV. I made it back to PA just before a horrendous snow storm.

Beautiful sunrise! Most RV travelers are heading south U guys like the cold? LOL! I had a diet center tell me one time a cinnabun each one has a stick of butter in it! Don't know if it's true but they are amazingly good!!

Cold weather.
QUESTION: What were the signs next to the fire apparatus starting at 28:33? Did not look like a high fire danger type of day, weather wise, to pre-position rigs along a high risk area. Thank you, David and Lefty, for the relaxing pace, cute pictures of Lefty getting comfortable squeezed into the passenger / Navigator's position, etc. Safe Travels! Blessings.
Fond memories for me as I made my first trip ever out west to see Mt. Rushmore this past July. Loved the Badlands and the Black Hills. Camped in Keystone. Drove through Custer State Park. Loved it all except the heat! 102 degrees the first day in Keystone. Ick. Drove through Wall but didn’t stop. Too many tourists….safe travels to you and Lefty!

Loved the video. Not much of a Cinnabon fan. I'm partial to the kind we used to get at a bakery when I was a kid. The one at Walls drug kinda looked like it. Have fun but take care too. Hope you guys stay ahead of the storm fronts.
