Join us as we sail to PANAMA! At first they won’t let us leave Colombia.. Then things start breaking at the start of an over night passage.. and then we find ourselves in the worst anchorage we have ever been in.. BUT our welcoming committee makes it worth it along with the raw natural beauty of this new country and the indigenous Kuna Gala territory.

  1. Billy, I think you are the most knowledgeable fisherman among the sailing channels so you might know the answers to these burning questions. What kinds of fish swim in schools vs loners? I know you’re on passage and don’t want to turn around, but if you did, and made several passes through an area where the rest of the school. Would it be reasonable to expect to catch others. Also, I wonder for loners who aren’t in schools how close you would have to get to them to let them be aware of your lure.

  2. I enjoy watching your videos you have such detailed explanations of what you’re doing and where you’re going. Your explanations of the operation of the boat and the sails with a lot of the details is so important. You and your lovely wife make a wonderful couple. I truly hope you’re enjoying this as much as it appears.

  3. Billy and Sierra: As you well know our President Donald Jockstrap Trump has been Icing immigrants since taking his oath to uphold our US Constitution. Two military (160) deportee's were diverted to Columbia yesterday, during the AFL playoff game. Columbia wouldn't allow them entry thus both Military transport flights were flown back to the states. Your Columbian President, Manuel DiVistas is sending his private jet to pick up these (160) iced immigrants. I'd be careful around South America (Panama) especially as Trump told them he was going to take back the Canal by force. Trump is being a Real Dick Head over Foreign Affairs so be SAFE…

  4. No matter what you do, you will continually have failures of those Lewmar blocks. We've been through many of them. To the point where Lewmar is no longer allowed on the boat. They are just crap product. As they break, change them to Harken or Antal (or probably anything other than Lewmar).

  5. Love this video and this channel! The dolphins leading you to port is cool. I've heard one reason they do this is because it provides them safe passage. They have blind spots above their heads, behind their dorsal fin, and behind their tail and "leading" a boat from the bow protects their blind spots and makes them feel safe from attack. I've heard many other reasons too like, opportunistic feeding on discarded bait, the wake from the bow makes travel more efficient and so on… I'm curious, why do y'all think dolphins swim in front of ships?

  6. There are a lot of sailboats of your size Billy that have fuel polishing and straining systems on their boat. SV Zatara is one. You should know by now that you are on latin country time. They are in NOOOO hurry to do anything…lol

  7. It’s so good to see you guys with life preserver on. It drives me nutty on some of these other YouTube Sailing channels, and the people never have any life-saving equipment on ever. scares the hell out of me. Looks like another cool place you found as always. Thanks for bringing us all along.
