when you pop form boards off just use a shovel under the boards and walk your way down the board from one end to the other, hope this helps. you dont need a hammer, pins should come up with the boards. dont forget to spray release on the form boards
Figaro! 13:40 That cat is so curious! I was wondering why you don't put your names and the date in the cement but Figaro puts his paw prints on it. πππ»
Good Saturday afternoon New Yolkπ₯City …. the slab is lookin goodππ» We aregetting a lot of rain here in central PA …. looks like you guys are to the north of most of it at the momentπ§π§π§ Cool to see the moose in your backyard …. hope you are having a good weekend so far …. take care AL, Gina & Olivia ππββ¬ππ
For your next concrete project, you might consider using "form release" on your forms. Makes their removal easier and keeps the substrate cleaner. Love what you do!
Something we used to do in order to make the forms come out easier was to first spray them with oil, then misted them with water just before pooring the concrete. It made the forms come apart with little to no effort whatsoever.
Beautiful bed! I was reminded of ancient-middle ages-renaissance eras. A womanβs dowry could be the furniture for their home. I thought, βThat is a bed π worthy of being a dowry for 100 yrs.β π
Ya'll did an awesome job with the slab, right up until the time you were using a pick and sledge to break the forms free…lol ππ Hopefully, there wasn't any casualties and hitting the slab. Love ya'll β€
Don't forget to cut the control joints in the new slab as soon as possible. It's easier to do it before the slab cures, eg, within a day or two after pouring the slab.
your wife hit the nail on the head you just a boy playing with sand park time farmer and how come you not do pad out side your new barn no brains snow coming need pad out side doors
If you spray the inside of your forms with diesel fuel, just a light film, itβll make it easier to separate your forms from your dried concrete later
Hey al I see you pumping the pallet jack allot before it raises. Did you check the jack oil when you got it. They don't always top them off when shipped.

Great job on the concrete, looks good! Winter time is coming to time to harvest some animals and hunker down for winter…………still lots to do but inside things more than the outside if you get some real heavy snow. Looking good! Blessings!
Next time you pour concrete spray the inside of your forms with power steering fluid and the boards will come right off a lot easier.
