@Hyce has a soundtrack specifically for railroads online
When it comes to music, honestly I've just been using generic royalty free jazz for my RRO videos, I think it fits well enough while being fairly inoffensive as background noise.
As an advocate for the "american type" locomotives i have taken to buying 6 ewrekas for the P.I & S.S railroad beacause i 1. Hate myself, and 2. I think it looks funny having 4 ewrekas pull 6 hoppercars up the 5%
I think the name "Hell & Gaylord" is amazing… H&G (HAG) is also an acronym so it fits all the requirements provided by the other guy in the comments from the last video.
Next railroad should be the Short Hills & Red Tillihook, featuring overpowered/fast locomotives on extremely tight curves. Embrace the SHART
Fun Fact, in the game files, there's a version of the Eureka that can go 27 mph.
I don't use music when I play, I use nature sounds. I use recordings of birds chirping, wind blowing, insects buzzing; its more immersive since this game is very dead without it. So maybe instead of music which can be hard to find uncopyrighted, use nature sounds?
R.R. name? Lone Oak & Smith Transit. Known as the L.O.S.T. line.
There's also a Climax Mi.
WEST COAST BEST COAST!! (I'm near Portland). Lumber trains just seem fitting out here.
Bakersfield, Alpena, Leslie and Lafe. Real life city names in the Missouri and Arkansas Ozark Plateau. The BALL
The bridge is absolutely the defining feature of the iron and steel line. Maybe something like (NAME HERE) Bridge Hematite & Steel.
Iron Goat Route, featuring ONLY tank engines nicknamed "goats™". (Edit: Wow thanks for mention!)
Use the RO soundtrack!
it should be noted that the Eureka IRL was a passenger engine that served on flat ground (where pulling problems are basically nonexistent)
I just realized that I have been the cause of all of the derailments so far 🙂
Good rail road names: Michigan Interstate Line Factories RR
: Tennessee Interstate Train Service RR
: Central Union Network Trains Services RR
Also since it came up, the reason that Eureka has such a big floor on the back of the tender is for brakemen to stand on while Eureka is in the yard for switching and/or running around trains
Hyce has stated the Soundtrack Formerly From Railroads Online is free for creators to use. Failing that, honestly even classical music is good for background noise.
On thing you could do when y'all stalled the last time is set some breaks towards the rear reverse to get the slack out and pull forward releasing the breaks. That's what they did in the real railroad and it does work in the game also hitting the sander before you start to stall. Love the content tho bro 👌😎
I love the reference to the Big Bridge Subsudies
