  10. People really think this will flop because of a character debate. It’s really only a minority of people complaining. They’re just shouting and makes it seem a big deal.

    The majority do not care and sales will show that. These people complain about every AC game and it does well every time.

    These people would rather spite themselves. They would prefer a crap game but have a character they think is ‘right’ for the type of game and have a terrible game, than have an amazing game but a different character they don’t like.

    I couldn’t care less about the character. I care about the game and story. The character could be a samurai clown. If the game is great then so be it.

    None of their games are entirely accurate and they make that clear. They try to make SOME aspects close to history as possible but not ALL. Not sure I remember time travel and electrical screens etc back in the days of the Egyptians… or eras the previous games took place but hey, it’s part of the game and story lines going through memories. That isn’t historically accurate huh.

    These people moaning continue to watch AC Shadows content and comment on it all. Engaging with it and helping it get to more people. They can’t leave it alone 😂 They hate it so much they keep following all the updates.

    If everyone complaining about the character didn’t buy it, guess what, it wouldn’t make a difference. This game will sell just as well as the others people complained about. Just like when they had female character options. People complained about that and said it was awful and pandering 😂

For me, a big thing is that Naoe is the assassin in this story, but Yasuke doesn't really feel like he fits here in more ways than one, in past games we had characters that were not directly linked to the assassins like Ivor and by being before the assassins were created Cassandra and Alexios but so far Yasuke it's just there… It seems like it's just a character that's there to say, "Hey we got a black character!" and maybe there was only Naoe at the start. I guess I'll see when the game comes out.

  19. These are so tough… on one hand, I love the news updates. But visually I like to go in fresh to a game and don't want to see a tonne of footage for it beforehand, so it makes me not want to watch. Maybe I'll just listen to it without looking lol

The game is said to start in 1579 which means the story would have to start with Naoe, in 1579 Naoe was 14 or 15, and Yasuke was still ether be in Portugal, Italy or his birth place, and be 24, then when Yasuke gets to japan in 1581, Yasuke will be 26 and Naoe would be 16-17 and by the end (the devs haven’t confirmed this but I’m assuming it will end 1615 at the absolute latest, and 1586-89 at the minimum (get the megaquake in there as it was one japans worst natural disasters)) Yasuke will be in his 30s and Naoe would be in her early 20s

I was hoping the news was to give us a Japanese skin we can choose to use if we want and to change all the Chinese backgrounds in Japan to Japanese along with the writing and to take the DEI and the Pride Community out of the game. Only then I will pay money and play this game. Until then they'll just have to have another failed game. And you'll just have to keep lying to us about how good it is

  29. This looks really good. I hope we can toggle hoods on and off and that armor's and weapons won't be too cartoony like in Valhalla. Helmets in cutscenes please. It's so jarring when they are off in cutscenes when you were wearing a hood or helmet before.

  32. Hey @JorRaptor will there be Different Armor Sets in AC Shadows like all other ac games, I'm concerned about it?… What do you think? There will be Lot of armor sets for both characters right?
