  1. Boomer is adorable, and congratulations are in order. But I can’t be the only one wondering why they got a new puppy right now when both girl dogs are constantly in diapers when neither has incontinence issues. One is being forced to wear diapers for “emotional support..” no healthy dog needs to be confined to a diaper for “emotional support.” No hate or anything, I just love animals and that’s concerning to see.

  2. This is honestly the best preparation for a baby that you could have. Everything you are struggling with is practically the same with a newborn only amplified if the baby came from your body because you are also healing.

  3. Our chocolate retriever is 6 and is still running around like crazy and was chewing stuff we trained him for the first few years of his life but all in all in was my brother's dog so we had to move and get our own house… Once we got him back he started chewing everything but his balls were chopped off ( they should of been way before) now that we have we did a couple days before Christmas he has calmed down so much…. He is the smartest dum dum you will know he can open doors and open a closed trash can but will run into walls lol… He is the sweetest baby! And thinks he's a lap dog at 84 pounds. You guys will do great if we would of had the money to get a trainor we would of for sure so your on the right path… Now our husky/put mixed we have gotten to train her a little more and she is still crazy at times but does have a little more training. Good luck you will do amazing.

  4. I’ve never heard of or been told by any vet to not let my large breed puppy run around? That sounds odd to me. They did have us wait to neuter until he was two though to allow him to reach full size and have the testosterone for his joints and hips (he’s a gsd). We have never kenneled him and never had to as he’s never eaten or destroyed anything. Idk if we got lucky or it’s how he was raised but he has always been a confident dog and never had weird insecurities or destroying things from separation anxiety.

  6. Boomer running around is fine. But when they jump off furniture or high places that is what impacts their hips and joints in the long run. What helps improve their health and life is proper nutrition. Start giving him fish oil and supplements for his joints with his meal every day. Also, don’t feed kibble. It’s highly processed with hardly any nutrients. Just look up the ingredients in the back for yourself, they’re not good. If you can, feed food that is freeze dried or minimally processed, the brand open farm is a good option. Or you can cook for your dogs. But when you cook for them you have to make sure they have all the vitamins. I make my dogs grass fed ground beef with carrots, zucchini and sweet potatoes. I also add fish oil, quail eggs, grass fed yogurt, joint and hip vitamins, and some pumpkin.

  8. No you’re so real for this puppies are so unbelievably hard my dog is almost 2 and he’s just now a good boy. Definitely get a trainer and crate train even if he’s screaming at night it’s exhausting but he’s going to be a good boy when he grows up
