Welcome back to Subnautica Below Zero! In this video we find a MASSIVE frozen leviathan! ENJOY!
Credits for the thumbnail image go to the amazing Thalasso hobbyer who made a diorama of the frozen leviathan which honestly looks better than the real thing. Watch the creation of that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CR4gPLkOMxQ

I can see this cave area as being the reason most people disliked this game compared to the first
Using the feedback feature to say fuck you… very mature. It was an unfortunate bug but it’s expected to happen in these games not much you can do about it, that’s why you save often.
4 vids in one day 😮
You were intended to traverse the island using the snowfox and in a cold suit as using a prawn isn’t very efficient for exploration, much more on land. That may be why the area felt too big (the snowfox is a real zoomer). On top of that, multiple trips would’ve definitely helped. I’ve seen some people build bases on the island too!
The Sea Emperor and the Frozen Leviathan are the biggest creatures we can see in the flesh in this day and age. The Frozen Leviathan isn't like the skeletons in the lost river in the first game. It was alive 1000 years ago during the bacterium outbreak that was caused by a pissed off mother sea dragon as we heard about in the first game. And if creatures like the Sea Dragon and Ghost Leviathan species have survived all this time then it's entirely possible there are many leviathans out there that are uknown to us. Perhaps the Gargantuan Fossil creature is still dormant somewhere as well. There is a cool mod called Return of the Ancients that brings the giant skeleton from the Lost River to life and it's called the Gargantuan Leviathan.
Here's the thing about the Frozen Leviathan though. If the cure was able to make it's way through the body of the frozen leviathan that means there is still some form of blood circulation happening in it's body. What do you think that implies?
I love that Insym once again makes a game harder for himself by not reading and taking some wierd decisions.
Their intention was to bring more land to this game, they even added a land-only vehicle.
However I felt it was too hard to see anything, with the snow fog, hail, darkness.. Any weather effects just ruined the experience. While yes, it is realistic. It is a game..
Also they could easily have added a glow to the Artitech Hand you found under the rubble, without it ruining anything.
On a good note, I had never seen an Ice Worm feed anything, it was magnificent. Nor didn't I know the penguin bot could steal fur from the Snow Stalkers. I just collected it from the ground in the caves in my playthrough.
Thank you so much Insym <3
i love subnautica and all..but land part was terrible..i hated it
Wait! Is she the bodyguard from the first game???
Insyms speedrun brain is triggering at the end.
The "built like an IKEA" part is 10/10
1:27:58 The moment when Insym finally lost his shit with Mazenautica: Below Zero Patience
One more leviathan you have to meet let’s see how that goes
Gee getting too cold. If he only had a thermos that gave 50 heat..
Super disappointed of this episode, this was an almost 3 hour leg cramp that could have been so much smoother, not just for Insym but for the audience as well. Also the disrespect towards the publisher is not cute.
I agree with you about the design of the land sections. They took the design of the below water caves which are confusing on purpose so that you use up oxygen, and extended it into a confusing section that drags on for too long. Even if you break it into chunks, that’s too much time spent contending with headache-inducing land exploration. It’s what ultimately made me stop playing this game, even if the first part is totally solid and lots of fun.
Maybe the reason why the snow biome feels to big is, that you are not supposed to do it all in one go. Plus, lots of people use the snow fox, which is much faster than the prawn suit. AND you can actually build a base above land in the snow biome, which is why there are so many resources.
So yeah, if you explore the whole biome without doing anything else, it gets boring and confusing. But for people who like base building and racing Ice Worms with the snow fox, it is a paradise.
Great video as always!
“This place is built like a fucking ikea” scp 3008 would like to have some words with you
I officially asking the Devs to hire you as the voice actor for new penglings/other upcoming drones in Subnautica. "hello friend"
You still haven't scanned the big room? Also, imo i loved the land parts of the game. You can build a base on land too which is nice. Soooo waiting on Subnautica 3.
2:00:11 Well, Sam's cause of death can be elaborated more if you find a specific well-hidden PDA in this area, or just look on the floor to the right here 1:50:50. There are also more PDAs you can find later that add more context to Sam's story. Unfortunately, the way Sam's story is presented in this game is really confusing, since the PDAs are scattered across different locations without a clear way of knowing the order of picking up the PDAs to understand the story, and that also means missing PDAs might cause plot holes! It took me a couple of playthroughs to get all PDAs and understand everything that happened to her in chronological order.
Snow land was two parts, the snow worm side wasn't available till you got the thingy to repair the bridge, thus supposed to get the snowfox, find the upgrade to jump and later on use it on the second part
WHere was the Frozen Leviathan??
Insym has the Water Recycle Suit.
"I can drink my own piss….checkmate…"
This is why I love you Insym. These small short moments of pure comedy gold.
I recall the mazes of the land section pissed me off as well but finding the antidote took me way longer that it took you. I think you were also not supposed to tackle like 2 major areas in one go, so maybe it would have been "rationed" better, instead of one super long land section.
I'm riding a Speeder Bike in starwars, oh look a lake, I wonder if I can use this as a Sub Marine.
youre reading the data entry and im thinking "i knew she was the bodyguard from the first game!"
I love getting geeked and watching your videos they r amazing
I think the amount of voice acting was what I disliked about this one. Interrupting logs etc. The sense of isolation was what really made the first one engaging for me, and while there was voice acting for certain passengers etc, it wasn't overloaded with talking. That and the large land sections where you constantly risk freezing and try to avoid leviathans you can't see. Agree that the Phi Robotics island was so difficult to navigate due to the lack of an active map.
1:58:45 When I saw that infection fade that quickly, I thought it was just some kinda hibernation and ran like hell out of that cave.
I love how insym skipped the entire story and still found the antidote by pure coincidence
hows he still not figured out who the old woman is
1:46:38 "Lots of room for a brain, but it's mostly bone and fat"
LMAO I can relate
the water is at least warmer than 0°C
Blindsym
This whole confusing ice area of the game combined with the Sam story was a big reason why a lot of people didn't like this game as much as Subnautica 1. The Sam storyline was unimportant and could've been left out.
For most people land traversal is the least favorite part of Below Zero and while the snow fox is faster it’s a lot more frustrating to operate. It would’ve been very cool if they had made the snow fox fold in and have the ability to transition into a submersible as well. Below Zero was also meant to be a DLC and so people feel that’s to blame for less verticality and lack of content.
