  1. Oh shit you are from the 402. Subscribed just for the 402 part but didn’t know if it was what I thought it was until I saw O-town on your weather app. Love from the 308

  2. that first crappie you pulled up was the first crappie on YT that i have seen everyone else catches bluegill or sunfish or three or four other fish they all call crappie with one of the most delicious fish in the world i feel more fishermen need to know what they are catching

  3. I do love me some perch. Absolutely delicious. I haven't done ice fishing for probably 25 years. Last time I did the hole was 18.5" deep in the ice. Unfortunately, it was honeycombed. I went through the ice and if I had been 3' to the left would have been in 10' deep water. Fortunately I was at the sandbar and my chin was at the top of the water. I figured if I couldn't trust a foot and a half of ice then I couldn't trust the ice. And nowadays I just don't like the cold too much. I still fish spring through fall when I get the time. But I always love to eat perch.

  4. In England just before Xmas 4 young boys died when 1 fell in a pond and his friends tried to help him, it's an absolutely tragic case. It's different in America, you guys are used to it. Look up the story, it's so sad.
Perch are absolutely beautiful, not the biggest, but those stripes and the fin and the wide mouth, a miniature bass

  5. Back in the day we used to fish the tide line near a water company in Delaware and it was so sketchy when we had bigger tides. You would be fishing and start hearing cracking and the water would be 3-6 inches below the ice rather quickly. We were far enough that It didn’t happen all the time but we got caught more than enough that we should have learned. A few people went through but by some miracle none of our crew ever got in a serious situation
