You will not be able to fly without the Real ID.
I believe the real ID allows you to fly to Canada or like Mexico or something and that's used as your passport and you don't have to carry it along with you. Might be mixing that up with the other version, the enhanced ID or whatever it was, but I had just renewed my passport so I said eff that just renew my regular license lol
In Virginia I got a real id,ID, helps with fishing permit and it's a voter I'd. And it works for airport screening stay safe

Real ID is going to be required in all states soon and for travel. Mind as well go ahead and get id done. Had to do it when I moved to FL in 2016.
Justin please google exactly what you need for the real ID. This is a federal govt thing not a state thing. Here in Illinois the dmv/sec of state office has a check list online telling you what you will need. Hopefully SC has something like that. When I was getting my gold star one I witnessed many people being turned away for not having the right paperwork.

Make sure if you do bring two forms of identification. Make sure there is dates on your bills.
The real ID will be required by all by 2024 I think. You will need a real ID to board a plane, go to the bank or anything u would need an ID for. If you dont get one its just a license to drive basiclly.
When I renewed my ID last year in the state of IA, I was forced to get the RealID even tho I did not want to worry about that.
The RealID is mainly for the federal buildings, federal security lands aka military bases, and flying at any airports from what I understand when I had to do the RealID stuff. The IA paperwork for the RealID was confusing for some because lots of people had to come back with the correctl paperwork to get their IDs here. There was a 16 year old that was forced to get the RealID when I was there, and they was confused. Then mid-70's year old lady was confused and even had to way more paperwork since she was remarried.
Your no Loads might have been an effect of the California longshoremen strike against port operators. It leaves imports from the Pacific down to a trickle. Hopefully the Biden admin will step in because in this poor economy it will make things worse.
