'We are so proud of him': Co-workers buy struggling employee a car

RoadSmart Fleet Steel River’s Trent McWaide sat down with Sky News host Peta Credlin to discuss the video that went viral after workers from RoadSmart Fleet gifted a coworker a car.

Mr McWaide said the main goal was to let the 20-year-old coworker know that he has a family at RoadSmart Fleet.

β€œWe searched high and low for a car and found one.

β€œGrowing up he lost his mum very early due to cancer and then with his father, his father did some things that no kids should have done to them – got taken out of home and into foster care.

β€œHe is just the ultimate worker … we are so proud of him.”

  1. Bonza cobbers.
He must be a good worker – worth all this. It’ll come back ten-fold.
    This is the Australian way.
Albo and his NWO corrupt corporate Quislings should see this.

  2. The Labor government has certainly gone out of its way to make life very difficult for families. It’s wonderful to see fantastic work places like this one helping their workers out because the government does not care.

  3. Now that’s the Aussie way . We have been continually divided by our so called leaders with yes no votes ,vaxxed and non vaxxed , electric and petrol , Israel and Palestine ,Ukraine and Russia ect ect ect . This is how we should function ,looking out for each other, caring ,sharing ,supporting and just generally being there when someone needs you. That is what being an Australian is truly about

  4. Amazing how hard working people have just changed a life around for this young man out of their own money only to watch our government hand it out freely to illegal people beating the system even over patient waiting people waiting to come live here with valid reasons. So proud of all of these people with this young man.

  5. Well said Trent and also to your workers all legends, what a fantastic thing to do for someone in hard times πŸ‘
Also looked like maybe your wife and two little ones in the background who were there and obviously in on it too, parents who are great role models for their kids. Great work everyone, did notice the older child was smiling so it also made her happy so good job all round for everyone.

  6. Just go's to prove that poverty doesn't make bad people. This young man is proof that just because you are from a bad environment doesn't have to become a life of crime and drugs. Well done to the young man and the people he works for
