We ALMOST DIED – THIS is WHY we never driving HERE again!

We drove from Bicol to Manila and got into some bad situations on the way – This is the real reason why we won’t be driving in the Province any more.

  1. Mike, what you are saying is the same dilemma I’d experienced the last time I was in my vacation and it is very irresponsible for the drivers that drives so recklessly.

  2. To answer your question.. you have to be a natural born Filipino citizen to become a president – meaning you will not do anything to perfect your Filipino citizenship. Essentially, being born a Filipino.

    Stay safe, you guys..

  3. That's something the Philippines is always a problem with. People are not applying safety for themselves and for others.
Philippines need to be very strict of the rules and transportation inspections all vehicles for protection .

  4. Most filipinos are not a good drivers honestly I'm driving here in Australia but would never driven in the Philippines when I visit my family.. Philippine government never make our road rules so strict even the pedestrian haven't been respected and implemented to be mandatory use properly. Glad you both are safe God Bless❤

  5. Yeah, you are right. Better to drive here at day time. But also it depends from the region. In our place in Quezon city it's completely safe…only motorcycles are big problem as always. 😂

  6. Your question, Could you be the President of the Philippines? There is a NO and YES answer to that. NO as President of the country, and YES as President of the Kapilya. Ask Grae what is a Kapilya (chapel). Hehehe,…….

  7. Problem here in the provinces in the Philippines is that many don't have drivers license for motorbikes and therefore have not been studying the rules of the traffic, they just think it's good enough to be able to start the vehicle and manage to keep on the road, but traffic rules if they should know of any they will have forgotten and behave as it was back in the good old days when no motor vehicles existed only horses and calesas! Oh and carabaos of course! And the pulis are not to be seen out there checking if they are riding according to the rules… yes, they do have checkpoints where they stop everybody coming on a 2 wheeler. In most areas helmets are mandatory, but like here in this small town in the north the mayor changed that rule so only outsider coming in to town have helmets on! Also wearing flip flops are ok! Another thing that so many just can't find out of when to turn on their lights when getting to sunset even though it's clear in the traffic rules. And many do not care to maintain their bikes lights, many have lights like candle light! And no rear light and then the tricycles have no light on the right wheel neither forward or backward (rear) and as their lights are so bad they keep the high beam on all the way… You signal to other drivers with flashing your lights when it is already dark and they don't understand!
So, if you need to drive at night then wait until most have gone home of the motorbikes and tricycles. About the bus drivers (big coaches) they are to sometimes just as reckless as others and will force their way through as they have to reach their destinations on time… mostly driving here is ok, but the slow moving overloaded trucks and motorbikes with sidecars full of family members sometimes not easy to count! Are a frustration for any car driver who can go at least double the speed of those slow goers. but, seriously the education of the driving population should be better, because for every year there is more and more traffic on the roads.

  8. Driving in the Phils is quite treacherous. Even on McKinley Rd from BGC to EDSA, at nights, several bicyclists without lights. Have to drive on middle lane. Getting older??? Always have to drive defensively here.

  10. Trouble is there are so many driving with out a license at all especially in the provinces, motorbikes no helmets etc, its crazy, mum, dad and baby on one bike, traffic enforcers not even stopping drivers for breaching driving rules, crazy thing is, more 5 to 29 year olds die on the roads in the Philippines than from anything else.

  11. Mike, please be careful. My friend was in a car accident in Bohol a motorcycle didn't stop at a Stop sign…two guys on bike were hurt bad and my friend had to pay for the hospital bill…his car was towed away and he lost it because he couldn't afford to pay to get it fixed…he ended up paying the family $2000 USD plus hospital bill

  12. Pretty much the same in any developing country i've been too…. heck in Vietnam motorcycles are like bees they will swam you it is crazy! Pretty much drive slowly to be sure as speeding can be deadly due to many unexpected things as traffic rules basically dont exist outside of major cities.

12:05 – Check out Camp Tree House in Antipolo. It looks amazing. A bit expensive though esp if it's just the 2 of you who'll rent the tree house.
