The Monty Show is talking about BIG 12 Football and where the BIG 12 Conference stands with the College Football Playoff! Can multiple teams get in to the College Football Playoff? Can BYU Football run the table and remain undefeated? Is Iowa State Football better than BYU Football? Where does K-State Football fit in to the top of the BIG 12 Conference?

I disagree with Monty that no Big12 Team will be undefeated going into championship game.
Ask Abeline Christian how Bad the Texas Tech defense is!
Kansas state will be in the championship game I know you hate Kansas state they will prove you wrong
NIL will be the downfall of the SEC and Big ten
Just salty Utah fans
you were dead wrong about UU and BYU. So was I. I hate to admit it
Retzlaff's int and almost injury making the tackle reminds me of Zach Wilson throwing a pick his freshman year and trying to make a tackle, broke his thumb and was out the rest of the season. It left BYU starting a 4th string QB. So dumb for QBs to do that.
What are you guys taking about? The Big 12 was never going to get more than 2 teams in the CFP so why do you care if it’s BYU and Iowa State instead of Utah and Ok state? Those programs are all about the same caliber.
You could choose to be positive and embrace the Big 12 or you can focus on the negative and talk down the Big 12. Whether or not your right, what's the benefit of your take. Good luck!
Kansas St and BYU will meet in the B12 CG. Mark it down.
Avery Johnson just DID throw them to a victory!!!! You couldn’t have watched WV. He didn’t run a single play and they stuffed the box and he threw 300 yards and 3 TDs!!! Just flat wrong!
DJ Giddens is better or at least as good as Brooks.
Something you gotta remember is it takes a few years for former G5 programs to build depth to compete at the Power 4 level. Cincinnati, UCF and Houston are still acclimating to this level. BYU was most prepared to compete right away because of their inherent advantages with size and experience. It's going to take a couple more years to raise the overall level of play in the conference after losing two powerhouses. But to think it's far behind the Big Ten and SEC is because you're over-influenced by the name on the front of jerseys and size of stadiums. One thing for sure is the Big 12 is still better than the ACC.
The playoffs need to be expanded and the bye’s need to go away. Play the games. Let the teams decide who is champion and not the armchair couch potatoes. The record and stats make the decision not someone’s opinion.
I think its more the fact this show doesnt like the teams who are doing well in BIGXII. Conference has two in on your board and K-St barely on the outside. Getting two teams would be huge for BIGXII but will still be critized. If they get 3 they will be critized for it being a down year across the country
I’m enjoying this big 12 season! I really don’t care what y’all think or where they are ranked. I bet the 3rd best team in then big 12 beats the 3rd best team in the big 10.
If some of these other teams had different names but the same schedules the narrative would be different for them.
You guys are awfully whiny…
All sports media and commentators like yourselves spend the whole season trying to rationalize your pre-season egos. 😉
I love it when people say what if’s. Yes the freshman running back could have made cuts. Ollie Gordon would have made those cuts. However the defense would have played differently if Gordon was in the game.
If BYU beat UCF the rest of the games are Super winnable 🧐
"I don't believe there will be an undefeated team". Please just be honest. "I hope that there isn't a Big 12 undefeated team because all I want to talk about is Alabama, Ohio State, LSU and all the other teams homers keep talking about."
BYU's problem is their OC. Don't blame that on Retzlaff. It was ARod that called that play at the end of the half. All BYU fans are tired of his issues. I think his issues that got him canned at Utah and why it took so long for him to get to the OC position at BYU. He has issues. He's not great.
You may be right about this year, but the bigger picture is that the conference is getting stronger and the teams are getting better. BYU is the best example, where were they predicted to be this year; I think it was to finish 13th in the standings. Their improvement over last year is astounding. Colorado, I think, was to finish in the bottom half of the conference. Kansas State and Texas Tech both are very good teams. And there is several teams close behind them. The SEC and B10 are better to them but the gap is narrowing, especially with the B10. I like you fellas and enjoy your perspective and in no way is this a criticism of you or the show. Thanks
I understand the skepticism in Big 10, but I do think that you are a little bit strong on SEC.
Genuinely, how is Penn State better than Iowa State, and Miami better than BYU? Both of those big 12 teams have a better record than the other teams I just mentioned!
I would suggest the SEC is also having a bad year. The number one team that they present gained a loss less than halfway through the season. You're presenting Texas as being excellent, and asking why Alabama isn't ranked higher, when they lost to an unranked of Vanderbilt? If it was anyone other than Alabama, would there be a question in your mind that it belongs in the #15 spot?
I don't think that you're overly negative. I think that you overly buy into the idea that SEC is defacto better than Big 10 or Big 12.
I agree that Big 12 is not going to win championship, and I give a 50/50 that we get 2 teams into CFP.
Still though… Do you legitimately believe that any top 10 team (outside of GA and Oregon,) will DEFINITELY beat BYU or Iowa State? Texas, Miami, Clemson, LSU, Penn State, Ohio State, Tennessee? I think each of those games is close to 50/50.
We DON'T win CFP. But I say we're as worthy as 7 other top 10 teams.
