I am from that neck of the woods where Legends is at. A lot of weird stories, I have heard a story from an older family member, about a guy who had had hooves. People supposedly seen them when he was leaving. It was at a bar in a small town called Wapato, near where Legends Casino is. Some weird stories come out of the rez.

Knights ferry is haunted by outlaws.. the town had an doctor that would treat criminal who were shot. Not all of them made it. This claim is so legit that doc's son owns the gun store in knights ferry. On the wall is a tommygun that was a gift from a San Francisco monster..

Idk, to me everything the author in the second story used to describe that bigfoot/ native creature, just screams it's a grizzly bear that they spooked and it ran off and looked back at them.
I grew up in Northern California too. We always used to go to Knights Ferry for school trips. Never heard about these stories about cults ans so on. Very interesting. It makes me want to go back to California.
