  14. Hello all, I don't believe people worship the Wendigo but they do show respect for it…. Leaving trinkets offerings and meat is taken as a sign of understanding ones place in evolution and a knowing that you are not at the same level of awakening as those you pay homage to….

  20. It could be the Mothman, or a Gargoyle… since you didn’t describe seeing a face, my bet is Mothman. Mothman is generally described as you described this creature.

    Burning red eyes are all those who’ve encountered it describe seeing, the wings and red eyes. There is one more description they share, it’s head looks like it’s right on the shoulders meaning No Neck.

    What ever it was now you know it is out there so please be careful… from listening to many encounter’s with the Mothman no one has ever shared it attacking just staring or simply flying away.

    It is generally thought to be a harbinger, a harbinger of something bad that will happen in the area or Town of its many sighing. I hope this helps you determine what it is you encountered. Has anything happened since you’ve seen it?

  26. Story 1: After the first episode, where the Wendi tried to get into our 3 season porch, the I am God told me Wendi (go)’s were ancient evil. Several near encounters later, and from scouring other people’s stories, this is what I’ve got: they are part demon/angel spirit, which doesn’t die and part animal, which expires, though not the animal’s hunger. When this hybrid spirit possesses a human that is in some state of weakness (about to die from exhaustion or hunger etc) The spirit can interact/semi live in this 3d space. They are telepathic. They do feel like they are keeping the balance of the woods. They believe we humans are like roaches that need to be taken care of with a quick claw slash and a new smile. They cannot be killed in the traditional sense. But, silver will put them down and if buried, the being will stay solid and stuck. Because, in presence of light, he will vibrate faster, the way an angel would, and turn into mist…. which is why they don’t hunt during the day. They smell like week-old garbage or dead fish. they don’t climb trees. Most don’t seem to like water, except I’ve heard accounts of a white elk that was let loose in Ohio and wanders around northern Minnesota back-and-forth. They are semi-nomadic and prefer waterways. Their thought range is probably about a half mile. They do play mind games, because people have been known to stay in place for three hours, while the creature waits for darkness to come. They’re more likely an ambush predator, but they can run on all fours when excited by smelling a bit of the angel of death in the air. (Week-old dead mouse, temperature plunge even in winter and ozone exchange from the wormhole that opens up to heaven//The Celestial lands.) And, some accounts speak of native Americans respecting Wendi territory, and others say you can throw a pouch containing, I suspect, food and tobacco in it to distract Mr. Wendii , while you run away. And, you will run, or stop running. Period.
    Oops I forgot they don’t like prayer circles, homemade dreamcatchers, or salt barriers. If you feel that is ok to do.

  28. Story 2: He sounds like a telepathic mothman type. The one I saw in the smoky mountains looked more like – a giant bug man with butterfly wings and a proboscis. But there has been talk of a black winged mothman.. who could’ve more of a demon/hybrid? Just be respectful when in the woods and if the ranger keeps seeing his eyes or having nightmares, the bigger is playing mind games and it’s time to imagine him doing something silly- no one like being laughed at- and he will probably move along. Security cameras and go pro’s can be an effective deterrent, because they don’t want to be all over the news. It makes hunting more difficult. Lol. Stay strong. Keep some salt around and even use salted water barriers around the campsite. Cryptids don’t like it..

  29. Story 3: My friend saw the mothman who was hanging out in Minneapolis before the bridge went down in 2007. I do believe entities can choose to warn us of things and be amicable, no matter what their background (high/low vibrations). But, some of the aggressive entities can feed off of our actual energy, so it is hard to say. As long as the entity is being civilized and acting as a warning, then we should probably be grateful and aware of what’s going on around our city. Then, maybe we can change it.
