Happy weekend! Another great show. Arena Rex is a fantastic game and model line. Fun to play and very fun to paint.
Cracks me up every time Justin is on the show – at least once he'll say "I'm going to be controversial here but…" and it is just a Reddit post that comes out his mouth. Surely at this point, the controversial opinion is publicly liking GW.
Moonstone continue to put out incredible models. They might be my favourite goblin models these days. All the wee coin bags sticking out of that armour just makes it feel like the goblin version of the Sheriff of Nottingham from the Disney cartoon version of Robin Hood.
I dont know much about 40k but would 2 starter boxes give you enough for 2 armies?
Dropping a comment!
Need paint 😅
The arena rex gladiator combat looks interesting. Really good show 😮
Arena rex looks great!
All hail Ben, the voice of reason!
The Stormcast Chaplin? Starting to blur the IP too much?
Very interested in checking out 10th.
Better than watching the Coronation.
Get into skirmish games they said….
Cheaper hobby they said….
No need to invest in large armies they said…..
They never mentioned the constant discovery of new skirmish games. 😀 Arena Rex looks stunning.
Enjoyed the discussion!
arena rex looks interesting
I've always liked that Arena Rex style damage. I loved Guild Balls aproach and ever since i'v wanted to see a more traditional wargame move away from standard damage to something like that, where rolling better gives you more interesting options and not just more damage. It should leade to more strategic games about more than just killing the enemy.
Thanks for the video.
The new Terminators are really tempting…
Less then 10 minis is not a skirmish, it's a scuffle!
in that "actual gameplay footage" of war on terra, the tank that pokes its head out at the end ? thundertank anyone ? lol
As regards the Napoleonics rule set question. Depends on your scale if 28mm probably Chosen Men, Perrys Valour & Foritude (Free), or if smaller scale there's Absolute Emperor, Baccus or the Nap equivalent of Pickett's Charge which would mean learning that ruleset would be your Nap and ACW rulesets with a smaller related game to lower rules menta load for porr wee young Shae. Perrys V&F is also having some folks around the tinternet also looking into adapting for Warlords Epic Scale and at some point there will be an ACW variant.
My gaming group got into Arena Rex a few years ago, with most of use buying a faction set plus a couple of other models. I went with the Egyptians, that scorpion was just too good not to get.
Good show, guys.
Those gladiators look awesome, if only you guys covered any of the warhammer stuff coming out lol. Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for the weekly update!
I remember the arena rex minis looking amazing. I wouldn't do them justice but look so amazing!
At last, something good from the corrination
so … who is the good, the bad and the ugly in this episode ?
and who got left out ?
Has anyone here played Subnautica? That Nid at 40:51 looks just like the Reaper.
Arena Rex looks great, if I could find a UK distributor for that I could see myself playing it
10th may drag me back in – now if they update my Tau line in line with what they have done with the Farsight mini, then may might become will.
As much as I'm looking forward to Epic returning, 40k and Kill Team already cost me too much money.
Funny I was thinking exactly that about the white background. What happened to the blue gradient background of old..?
Weekender time, best time !
Gerry may have long legs, but can he run in a zig-zag pattern? I mean, I can't, because I'm old and fat and slow, but for faster people, it might be a relevant point.
Definitely planning at having a good look at Moonstone at UKGE
Tumbling is a great looking model, tyridids look fantastic too.
The cities of sigmar knights look very grand, and so far am impressed with the "old world" stuff they've shown so far. I'm sure they'll be packed into an expensive box which they only make 5 of…
