Anybody else get the impression Malekith is trapped in that armor and the witch to his left is calling all the shots? "Well Malus everything's all messed up again so none of your crimes matter, fix it for us!"
As the group near the cemetery they took a moment to stop at one of the nearby buildings
To take a rest for a moment they set up at one of the old Ruin home's
As rest of the group pulled out dry salted fish bread and cheeses then they started passing out couple bottles of wine
As Maxwell chewed on his dry fish he looked up and Saw poison star before him with a curious smile
You don't mind if I share your company Maxwell
Sure why not have a seat
And the pleasure of your company today as Maxwell continues to chew on his fish
Well I wanted to know how did you and Lance got together
Well poison star it was a long time ago when I was hunting my brother down
You have a brother what was he like
As poison star took a swig of her wine
Well at first he was a honorable man like me we both joined the greatswords for our father was well respected greatsword himself so we joined became the best
But then tragedy would strike for he got bitten by a huge wolf in Sylvania oh how things took a bad turn on that day
Is this how you got your curse Maxwell from your brother
Yes poison star for at first he dreaded it then he embraced it he kill village people around the area he got off the hunt killing random times of the night
Then he got stronger and could change at will at first me and my father try to keep it a secret we thought we can control him but we were wrong
For he turned on Father first he rammed his greatsword through his chest and then he bit me in the neck as I tried to stop him
So he brought dishonor to your house Maxwell I know how that feels but for him it was a betrayal waiting to happen before he had so much power tell me Maxwell how did that feel knowing that your brother was more powerful than you
Well I hated it and what he did and then i realize what happened to my brother was soon was going to happen to me before I felt the change slowly edge to me
It was horrible for I had no control at the time I will pray sometimes on anybody who was around me for had no control
So how did it feel when you killed your first man like a beast
Oh poison star for I felt the rush
of it I felt free alive but then I felt the dread of knowing what I could do
Then I started hunting my brother down I looked for him everywhere in the empire but he was always one step ahead of me
Then I found him in the province of Reikland for he was turning some of the battle priests of Sigmar to his side convincing this was the way to beat their enemies
But I knew the truth I confronted him but in the end I couldn't kill my brother I couldn't deliver the final blow to him and that's when Lance came in
So Lance was hunting him too
Yes poison star for he was steadily figuring everything out he even ran into me a couple of times questioning me but I tried to lie and lure him away from what was going on for my vengeance was for myself
So when you found your brother you told me you could not kill him who did
It was Lance who did it for him and my brother fought on top of the great cathedral Sigmar oh it was a sight to behold as my brother tower over him
He tried to kill Lance with it brute fury but Lance kept in control of his actions for my brother tried to get into his head but it would not work it wasn't until he finally landed the fatal blow
That he got him with the red seed
Blood seed What did it do to your brother Maxwell
it is the one many dreaded weapons that Lance use on my brother the fool caught it in mid-air not realizing Lance wasn't aiming at him but his hand for he knew his sharp instincts would catch it
It was a lodged into his hand all the pain and suffering he received when it growed out of his hand The Roots were growing fast he tried to stop them but they were growing and growing until they took over the church roof smashing upwards
Oh wasn't star it was a sight to behold for its leaves were golden and then it started growing around my brother Lance would not take no pity to him for he prayed on the innocent and I could do nothing for he was lost to me
What happened to you Maxwell
well he doubt me a serious blow to my neck as he ripped it open as felt i my blood flow to the floor where I was about to die
You were dying how did you survive
Such a horrific wound
Well as the Tree was fully formed it closed door around him crushing him till this day I can't get over his screams when that happened
But anyways the tree bring me Back to life and the other battle priest that my brother killed off
I pleaded with Lance to save me and he did well technically the tree saved me but he ended up giving me a portion of his blood telling me that it would keep my hunger in checked by his will only until I got it under control which I did before I felt in his debt
Also I knew I was part of him felt his heartbeats felt his emotions
Yes I know how that feels Lance's emotions are so hard sometimes to get over especially when he stares you in the eyes like in the are starting
So how did you come back to life
The Tree it could heal you or bring you back to life it healed me for it was a miracle in at to be Hold for these trees are rarely seen
As soon as they bring everybody back to life and heal everybody it disappeared for the person also when it eats nourishment to grow
That's what happened to him in the end and I was rehealed and brought back to life
And that's when Lance give me the opportunity to be his champion and I was fortunate to see a rare sight of the Tree of Life that he calls for as it takes life it gives life
Now you know
So this is how it all began that's quite interesting but how I met him was least pleasant for I try to outsmart him instead all I did was angered him
I thought surely I was going to die but he showed me mercy then he give me the opportunity to change my mind free of will and I shot him with the crossbow
and that's when he gave me a drop of his blood to make sure I wouldn't turn against him or one of you
We're both fortunate poison star enough in life because he chose us for some reason in faith
And that's how it happened for me I guess that's why me and you got so much in common for we are his blood now and his death if we're not careful
As Maxwell's stood up with her meeting her eyes yes but if we play it smart we can be more for Lance
Then one of the men of poison star came into the room my mistress were ready to go
Maxwell smile and scarf the rest of his fish down looks like story time is over with shall we go
Poison star smiled back yes let's get going for the night time is about to Don on this place
Think of standing in front of both Malekith and Morathi at the same time, Jesus christ.
I like this chapter because you get see the inner workings of dark elf society and malekith and Morathi thinking process plus getting an army from the witch King may be a blessing but like all gifts they can be a curse
This is one of the most badass moments I've ever heard in a book. Holy shit this is BADASS.

What is it that could be behind Morathi's "brittle" facade, as Malus perceives it? I imagine the equivalent of Shreeky, from the '80s Care Bears cartoon by Nelvana. But, ancient. If one is unfamiliar with her, I recommend looking up some clips.
When Malus is watching Crystal-Vision…what "eye", or blimp camera, is providing the perspective and view of those visions, hmmm? A nitpicky detail, I know; it could be "through the metaphysical realm of Chaos" or Khaine directly…it simply reminds me of kids' animated TV shows which spontaneously displayed a video screen or camera footage of something that couldn't possibly have been "filmed" or camera-recorded, merely repeating actual episode footage 😉.
Forces of Chaos are starting to heat up the Land of Chill a little for the Dark Elves. Druchii family matters. Thank you for another part, of another excellent Narration, GDN!
