Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader – Ep. 13: Blinded by the Light

Today, we try to stay focused, even as others are getting blinded by the light.
Honestly, it’s no surprise we blue them away. These guys really lack squad cohesion.

00:00 Clearing the air.
06:55 A lack of squad cohesion. (Combat)
15:42 (Level Up!)
20:30 Blinded by the light!
25:00 Blue them away. (Combat)
41:25 Try to stay focused.
48:54 Outro & Special Thanks!

  1. Really not a fan of how the RT just rushes into the middle of everything if you choose to use the barrels. My character was built as a lazy support piece with no real combat ability of his own, and consequently spent most of this fight unconscious after pulling that stunt.

  2. 42:35 I'm sorry Abby but your previous employer definitely straddled the line of heresy. I unfortunately got the identity of Theodora's killer spoiled and I'm still a bit salty about it. I do wonder where she got the shards in the first place from.

  3. Revel in Slaughter specifically gets rid of the debuff you get from using Run and Gun, which is why Argenta was able to use it even though it was unusable at the start of the turn.

  4. The text lead up to the fight with the heretics is a bit odd. The scene is presented as if you had a front row seat, hence Retcon's wonder as to why he couldn't intervene earlier. I prefer to think that the reveal is what you pick up as you approach the cultists, moving through swirling steam and towering machines dimly illuminated, catching occasional distant glimpses of the unfolding drama. It's only when you are close enough to act that the choice of what to do is presented.
I did like the 'exchange of views' between Idera and Argenta. Personal loyalty seems to be important to Argenta, which is why she followed the (charismatic) Lady Captain, however, there is a lot of suppressed emotions there as well.
