It isn’t meta, but it’s fun. Huge damage boost, but doesn’t solve main issue.
Viper Wraith is ok, but magazine size is garbage, and ammo economy is garbage.
MR Fodder unless you have a riven.
Vastilok is the best armor strip tool in the game that uses melee slot, outside of Latron Incarnon, which is hard to get. Vastilok is also tradable, Latron Incarnon is not.
Also has ridiculous slash on 12x builds (5M+ unbuffed), but is rarely used for that these days.
Primed Cryo Rounds and Primed Firestorm are standard AoE launcher mods.
Grab them, they are basically mandatory for a full build.
Remember that radius is squared on AoE.
Primed Pack Leader is useless. Grab for collection, but your melee instantly heals pets to full regardless even without the Prime version. Waste of capacity.

The Lenz is one of my fav weapons on fashion and design alone and is super fun to use for star chart/entry level SP. I got spare Forma so ima build the Prisma version 😀
Hopefully an incarnon lenz comes out and it brings back its old glory

It has built in ammo mutation so its a make or break deal
Primary Merciless or Primary Frostbite? I have a perfect CC CD MS harmless negative riven so I'm having trouble with slots if I go frostbite.
From my initial thoughts when I first saw it, it's a 50% straight up damage increase over the base lenz. The damage bonus is roughly 11%-12% and with the crit multiplier going from 2x to 2.8x roughly evens out to an overal 50% boost. This is just a really nice bonus overall. Add in the fact of faster charge time and higher reserve ammo capacity and it helps usability greatly. I highly recommend this to everyone.
You didnt mention the 2 best parts of the prisma version, 8 ammo capacity and a 0.8 charge instead of 1.2, it makes so much of a difference. Also this weapon with an epitaph primer and a grouping ability is insane damage
Something I was noticing earlier, and you partially refer to it; the Frost Shock is gaining the benefit from the Firestorm mods, but the primary damage explosion doesn't appear to be gaining the benefit of the mods. The AoE appears to also have Line of Sight now

ok in the viper wraiths defense im pretty sure it has an augment that has a consistent 100% ammo efficency gimmick but yes its not that great
I disagree. The weapon has build in ammo transmutation and if you are actively playing, it has no ammo issues. With my riven I get 180% CC and 11,5% CD. This one shots acolytes surprisingly well and I really think it is a interesting weapon. Still not sure of Merciless or Frostbite hits harder
the Prisma Lenz has build in ammo mutation so you can go for ammo drum and spam like in the old days 😀
interesting thing about lenz, that it's aoe damage has actually 2 parts, frozen field, with only cold damage, and explosion itself with blast damage. And if we place 60/60 toxin mod, we will have frozen field with 25% status chance and viral damage, and force proc of cold, and blast which will have toxin damage to kill corpus, and slash from hunter munitions to kill grineer. Also because of force proc cold we can use primary frostbite for additional multishot so we almost always get viral+slash on enemies, besides prisma lenz has more ammo and ammo mutation. As for me prisma lenz outclasses bramma as weapon, especially because of design. Explosion delay can be serious problem for someone, but for me it's just additional style point
Good for steelpath circuit, makes it more usable. Sadly a victim of DE's overdone blanket nerfs, that being said it's still entirely viable for MR12 players, and a solid AOE choice with the proper investment or build. Expect to run into ammo issues, even if you find a good go-between damage, aoe and ammo economy. Kind of have to treat it like a weaker bramma.
Does wraith and prisma variants count towards mastery exp?
Have you considered Primary Frostbite for this?
I feel like the Lenz can uniquely make use of this Arcane
It's weird having Baro bring anything new that's not a cosmetic, it's even weirder for Baro to bring an AOE weapon, and weirdest of all, I'm not sure it's worth picking up and would rather have gotten a booster lol.

I was praying the lenz would get a sister varient or a incarn but with this coming out its probly going to go way to the back burner now :/ i have always prayed there would be a day we could use the prisma skin onto the non prisma varient because i just love the look and if we want to for a higher riven stat.
I sunk 3 forma into it before giving up on it. It was a nostalgia grab, but it's getting shelved now.

8 ammo and innate ammo mutation makes it a solid AoE weapon. One of, if not the best spammeable AoE weapons.
Viper Wraith with the 100% ammo efficiency on headshot augment and syndicate mod is pretty funny.

Run ammo drum exilus for more max ammo. Weapon has innate ammo mutation
One toxin mod with hunter munition will give u toxin and slashes and guaranteed cols and viral procs aoe.
