First the Undead Scourge’s corruption and then the Burning Legion’s invasion has left the Alliance of Lordaeron decimated and torn apart. Former Human and Elven Kingdoms now lie in ruins, roamed by horrific undead creatures, with major cities left under the iron fist of the Dreadlords’ reign. To make matters worse, betrayal and discord has struck the Alliance from within, with treacherous Blood Elves conspiring with inhuman beasts and taking arms against their Human and Dwarven brethren. Despite the overwhelming odds, dispersed groups of resistance continue their desperate struggle. Even though the chances of victory seem to diminish with every comrade lost, it is said that even in the darkest of times a new hope may emerge from where you least expect it…

I think you've done well at the defense. Abuse Shockwave in choke points, block the other ones with your melee units and spam ranged/spells from behind. A single mine available provide too little income to really get both large army and all upgrades. In fact this is how it's often end up for me and how we balanced it to end up. Classic rescue at the very last moment, after pretty standard superlarge wave at the very end to spice things up. We're not big fans of classic defense missions because, like you said, they are often boring and there is a risk that player won't be able to hold the last superwave, so we wanted this one to be mostly micro, story map with that short defense part at the end. Nothing more to say about this one. This map exists just to carry story.
There is a cliff at the left side of second undead outpost. It's good setup for Mortar Teams, while other units can block narrow passage below.
Yeys, Eldin's eyes are cyan. They were much more cyan before I converted textures, but BLP compression is… Less then awesome, so they appear cyanish green. In fact I'm glad that it's still recognizable as cyan. I can confirm that he's not a Blood Elf. Quotes of Hunters give an early insight about their [and Eldin's] allegiance, but this stuff will really roll in after the next map :].
I wonder if the secret weapon "is not what you think" because it's actually someone.
new big mission, infected vegetation, new awesome abilities, JAy cracking jokes, new cool units and dinosaurs, new story plots and twists,…this is the new age of jayborino right there
56:25 😂😂😂
58:25 ROASTED 🔥🔥🔥🤣😁
Is it just me or is voice of battle mages the voice of raziel from legacy of main soul reaver 😮😮👊👊
Jayo can you also continue with arkaine pppplllleeeaaasssseee i miss them your so good at them
Shockwave is amazing Jay! You are wise and smart to lvl it
Is this W3: Reforged, or just the original W3?
Jay dropped a c-bomb.
How unexpected…
Loving the terrain in this campaign. Absolutely beautiful, the best-looking I've seen in a WC3 level. The extra tall scenery makes such a big difference in creating a sense of immersion. The tall trees, cliffs, outcrops, and walls make it feel like a real space.
3:20 your units have backpacks, so u can take items for future sales
Can't get enough of Jay's video
Towers are usually crucial against these flyers in the defence part, but relying on heroes and units also does a decent job here. I suppose you just went a bit too heavily into upgrades + got lower income due to high unkeep. The final wave was supposed to be overwhelming, like in defence of Hearthglen, adjusted by the fact our defence is more fast paced and with more powerful heroes. But right, we never tested a scenario where ALL outlying buildings are destroyed and the attackers get clumped near the gate. Our bad. We'll also probably cut down the number of upgrades available not to tempt players into spending too much resources on them and not on the actual army and towers.
You have yet to appreciate Inaylia's stealth ability. Apart from doing what its name comes from, it is truly a gamechanger in maneuvering between allied and enemy units to quickly get to enemy hero or a high necromancer to assassinate.
Damn, no idea why the button for chapter six didn't show up, it clearly works for lots of people who completed the campaign. If everything fails, you can enable it manually in the campaign editor (also enable all the previous buttons because when you save the campaign file, button visibility is reset).
BTW, at 56:24 "Anyone could've been punished with such face, even you" refers to the fact that in a very, very early version of the original Exodus Reynart's model was nothing else than the bald guy ;).
A valid tactics
Cool mission, I only wish a fortress was a bit larger and defence-stage was maybe 20 minutes 🙂
17 minutes in and the following things are in this mission:
Elf on a shelf
Suspicious guy takes us back to his (atra) van
Arthas hiding behind a helm and a mustache
I wonder how Jayborino's wife feels about this lvl 4 shockwave being his best decision in life 🤔
"New mage is clearly an Arthas with fake mustache and a helmet"
Just lol, imagine Jay if this new canon XD Arthas that fighting for the Scourge is fake while real one still fight for Alliance in shadows
can anyone explain to me why Jay doesnt have healthbar shown? he is an experienced player and surely knows about that option in setting
Also forgot to say, in my opinion secret weapon may be either powerful blue dragon or either powerful flying citadel with magic and such
I think the screat weapons is some kind of AI. Thats why he said its both is and isn't a weapon. They can fight but may not want to fight.
Glad to see this mission finally unveiled.
honestly didn't really think much of this mission untill the last wave arrived which caused me to panic, fortunately I had a lot of rifles and mortar teams soI managed to hold quite well , also ye the goat lvl 4 shockwave , it's so fkn satisfying the things I would change now in my first playthrough of this are not picking up items I didn't want on units so I could sell them at the defense section start for a gold boost and build more dwarven units with a few spearmen the mix of like mortar teams , spearmen and riflemen (gyros too but not that important) seem to counter this mission pretty well .
oh ye when we finally play margoth he also has shockwave so double trouble time 🕺
A micro mission with a hold out at the end?sign me up!
Weird creeps at the start, maybe they escaped from Kirin Tor's experiments to live peacefuly in the mountains, with scourge as their neighbors🙂.battle mages seem like preists that restore mana instead of health,i thought they would be like spellbreakers but not quite,at least they both have helmets.Hunters seem like exclusive units as an escort for Eldin, they seem like spearmen that have cleave instead of defend, one offensive and one defesive nice.
The hold out seem good, not too much pressure on player. And Margoth choosed to be a good guy huh, guess you could say that the Syndicate was vaeled down.
Hope we can play as Syndicate later but for the next mission i think they are just gona be our allies.
