*About the Mod*
Is a new Standalone Map and Mod centering around ABDACOM in the defense of the Dutch East Indies in early 1942

Allied American, Britain, Dutch and Australian forces banded together to defend Java and the surroundings.

The Mod will incorporate a number of new ships and a brand new map and campaign of the Dutch East Indies – The ABDACOM Defensive.

*About The Game*
The Japanese Empire expands throughout the Pacific where Allied forces attempt to halt its spread. A desperate struggle for control of the Solomon Islands is now underway.

How will you protect your transports as they deliver troops and supplies in the South Pacific? Will you deploy precious aircraft carriers to provide air cover? Do you screen the area with submarines? Or attempt to lure the enemy navy into a decisive surface engagement?

  1. I've found another playthrough with this game by The Edified Gamer, who is playing as the IJN on a mod called the Pacific mod. It starts in December 1941 and encompasses the WHOLE Pacific. Would love to see you do a playthrough on that!

Also, while it's great seeing more types of Japanese subs in the game, they need to look different, too. The Type KD5 submarines did NOT look like the Type B1s.

  2. If you’re able and willing, I’m sure many, including myself, would like to see the Surcouf used, the only cruiser submarine. And maybe use it in a mix of surface engagements and convoy hunting

  3. I loved the intro!!! This is my #1 most anticipated content. I haven't been this engaged with media in years. I think about this series every day, it is so cool and I love the way it is presented. I just subscribed, thanks for putting in the effort to make this series as good as it is Wolfpack!!! 😀

  4. The creators of this mod asked the question, can the might of Imperial japan be held at bay by a rowboat armed with a pocket knife and a mean looking kite? Probably not, but it is fun to see you try.

  5. I bought this game at launch in 2021, and I’m still waiting on the devs to finish the game. Only reason I took a chance was because it came from the same devs as Cold Waters. Maybe I’ll play sometime in 2023 when the game is considered complete?

  6. Tip for trying to protect a ship using fighters, click the fighter and then use the “patrol over” option to select the ship formation, this will guarantee that every time your ship is attacked by enemy aircraft your own fighters will spawn directly on top of the ships rather than at the edge of the engagement circle

  7. Would be nifty if you found and sank the Japanese CV and it turns out to be either the Shokaku or Zuikaku. Especially since you've seemingly reduced its torpedo bomber compliment.
Edit: hats off to Java, she's been there right from the get go, hopefully Exeter and Houston can come back and swap out for her

  8. Ep.10 Myoko. Random fighter lands on the deck, casual fire, anbandon ship.
Ep. 11 also Myoko. Suck 4 torpedoes perfectly and that will buff out. Nothing to see here.

Cant wait for next episode, good work. Love the narration on your series.

  9. After watching the struggle with out of position aircraft when Java was attacked, if you go into the GUI for the fighter aircraft you can assign them on direct escort/air cover for Java, and you'll start the battle with them directly overhead, which would be perfect for immediately attacking any incoming aircraft

  10. with the way that the AI works in War on the sea I believe that the CV fleet must have at least 2 carriers to launch 24 aircraft in 1 strike so you better be ready

  11. I understand not wanting to add more subs seeing as they kinda excell at cheesing the game but a small sub fleet would add a good bit of variety and would help out against the already overpowered AI (I say overpowered bc clearly they have infinite command points to spawn more fleets). Plus subs would help a ton with scouting.

  12. Wolfpack – can I suggest that you establish an MTB Base on one of the other Islands in the Islands due East of the smaller bases and when you get more Command points – try to sort out small detachments of these in all Islands. Along Java ! I hope you will consider it !

  13. Ahh, fianlly some sub action! This is going to be good… 8:56 "Japanese fu- eeer, damage control having some issues" – giggled 😀 Beautifully coordinated attack. Anyway, the damage models seem a bit unfair- the Myoko got four right across the length of the ship and was just heavily damaged while Java got the same result with only two, hitting amidships. Also if the AI doesn't have the same restrictions on aircraft you do, it would make things manual-fire tier unfair. I'd say the Java fight was a victory to you- those trained crews (especially in the IJN) aren't growing on trees…
EDIT: you have survived the actual ABDACOM by two days! Bravo you!

  14. I really enjoyed this episode like all of the rest of this campaign! Sure was nail biting for a bit there with the Java's predicament! Great job though saving the ship.

  15. Wolfpack – just a suggestion.. Try a Diamond formation, at 10,000 feet for high level Bombing operations with the Dornier Do 24k's. It appears to be a little bit more effective as a tactical option.
