Walls up at Main Entrance | Disneyland construction 08/31/2022

For the first time in my memory, we’ve got walls up at the Main Entrance in front of Floral Mickey. And I think it’s for more than just the Halloween update. We’ve also got updates on Matterhorn, Big Thunder Trail tunnels, Haunted Mansion, the Silhouette Studio and more.

  1. Could Disney be replacing some of the original thirsty plants at the front with either some succulent varieties or possibly even artificial plants in some areas, to help combat the severe drought?

  2. I don't think Walt would have allowed the wall at the entrance, and would have wanted the landscaping completed without guests ever seeing it. He'd spend the money to get it done right.

The River Belle isn't serving Mickey pancakes anymore? That's kind of sad.

  3. Maybe someone who knows more about landscaping then me can see if my thoughts are correct, but I believe some flowers and plants drain certain nutrients from the soil, I wonder if they simply have to change out the dirt or add something to it so they can go years and years more easier with what they’re planting?
