9:35.. leash reactivity versus aggression totally different things
So happy i could get to be part of the live stream! I usually miss it due to time difference. Jeff can i ask you something? I had a nasty encounter 3 days ago with a woman who screamed and shouted at me because i raised my stick to her dog, both me and my gsd were walking past this little dog, my girl was heeling on lead, other dog was loose and did not give two shits about the owner trying to recall it, dog came trotting up to us, i raised my stick to keep our space, the ofending dog responded and moved away, then the owner bagan screaming at me that i was 'a fucking twat' and 'needed to get a life'. I responded in an adult mannor and asked her to keep her dog under controll, she responded by yelling that her dog was not out of controll, i replied that she was having a hard time with recall and proceeded to keep walking while she continued to yell at me untill i was out of sight. What would you do in this situation? Especially if she tries this again? Ive bought a body cam so if anyone gets physical with me i have proof that i am just defending myself (in the uk we are not allowed mace) and i also carry dog spray for added security. Im on my own so i always try to be one jump ahead of people like this. Sorry for the long question but i am interested in your thoughts. Kaz from the uk.
