Voice referendum was a ‘divisive piece of legislation’: Pauline Hanson

One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says the Voice referendum was a “divisive piece of legislation”.

The Voice to Parliament referendum was defeated with 60 per cent of the population voting No.

“We have to realise that we are all Australians together in this country,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“Australians have open hearts and they don’t want to see any Australian, regardless of race, culture, creed or religion, to be treated any differently and we’re very warm to looking after other people.

“We’ve had this discussion before – I saw the referendum as a divisive piece of legislation, well it would have been if it was put into the constitution.”

  1. Absolutely spot on Senator Hanson. 65,000 years and what have they done. When Cook discovered this continent, look at what we have achieved in just 200 years. Fact: they are not the first people. eg, Bradshaw paintings pre dates them.

  2. Right on Pauline! Indians, Chinese, Jews, Thais, Vietnamese and all of us how have migrated to Australia have the greatest objection to the so called ULURU statement, as being aspirational we have the most to lose.
Aboriginal activists and white apologists for their causes, think that we who migrate, have done so, for the Aboriginal so-called culture that involves some voodo like moves, dancing around campfires with an application of ash.
One can respect a culture that has achieved something in the corse of it'sexistence, but not one that is stuck in the stone age!
Frankly, Albanese has no respect for the Indigenous Australians as all he is doing is offering them a begging bowl and alms, instead of teaching them to look ahead, stand on their own feet and make a positive contribution to society!
It's clear that wallowing in self-pity and self-inflicted damage is what they intend to continue doing!
One gets sick and tired of being of told that their culture is 65,000 years due to which we have to bend down and kiss their asses!
The portends of this attitude by their leaders will eventually lead to a race war between those that claim to have Aboriginal DNA and the rest of us!

  3. Bravo Pauline, exactly what 60% of us are thinking and have SEEN. Unlike Canberra, we've seen firsthand the bullsh*t lives they live, but expect victimhood and more free money. The free ride is over. Harden the f up and get a job!

  4. Ignorance of history makes history repeat as we've just seen with so called victory over human decency. Pauline and her cheer squad live their comfortable lives on one of the richest countries on earth on the back of stolen aboriginal land something they'd rather ignore. 80%of indigenous people voted yes as they've been fighting for some kind of recognition since settlement but they were out numbered and out voted by white well heeled red necks living their comfortable lives on back of stolen aboriginal land so much for the land of a fair go definitely not for aboriginal people. Think about what you've got and where it came from some of the most unspeakable crimes committed against them and their incredible sacrifices so you can have what you've got is that possible probably not welcome to Hansons red neck wonderland.

  6. I heard a video with this lady a few months ago and was very impressed, and was then amazed to learn how apparently controversial she is in Oz! She spoke a hell of a lot of sense to my ears

  7. Pauline isn’t being heartless I think she believes in tough love and she’s right
Her idea about young offenders going on the Hard Yakka course which is 85% successful at stopping them reoffending and turning their lives around, was brilliant and I hope she keeps pushing for it

  11. The 5 Electorates with the highest population of Aboriginals voted NO!
They KNEW it would not be THEIR VOICE. Get rid of the document. It is Communist and Thomas Mayo admitted that.
