  1. His voice and performances are truly a gift. So honoured to have seen this gifted man perform more than once. Your the voice will always be the unofficial Australian anthem for me. Another memorable moment also when he sang alongside Tom Jones on Hey Hey it's Saturday. Get well soon JPF.

  2. Hello Beth. I"m an Ozzie who lives not far from John and I hope he gets back on his feet very soon. I would suggest listening to a version of Amazing Grace he did with his back up singers. It was at the end of a concert and sang without musical back up. It's sung from the soul and will make you cry as it does me, a 60YO man. Truely beautiful, must see.
    Keep up the good work.

  3. John also played Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar and his version of Gethsemane is phenomenal. Another favorite of mine is Please Don't Ask Me, both on his own and as a duet with Olivia Newton John.

  4. I found it absolutely astounding that during this period of his career, he would think nothing of going through sixty or so cigarettes every day! Imagine what his voice would've been like if he didn't smoke at all!

  6. Check him out with Céline at her Melbourne concert. He sadly has recently had cancer of the jaw and had a some of jaw removed . For those of us in New Zealand and Australia John Farnham was is has many songs /anthems that defined the 80s

  7. There are so many nuances in his style of singing. He's so easy to love and he's a nice guy from my home town . I am a professional musician ( some orchestral and guitar). Analysing John means stopping so many times9 he does it naturally. THE VOICE.

  9. Very nice and informative reaction. Thank you. I looked through your reaction vids and see many artists that I rate highly. I would like to hear a reaction to Angelina Jordan "suspicious minds" cover as a starter or Aurora "it happened ..quiet". Two very unique singers from Norway. Cheers Tony.

  10. Watch John’s “Sadie the cleaning lady” audition where he got started as a lad. King of Pop in Australia for years, his live performance radiated talent fun and full energy throughout. I was privileged to see and hear him live in Sydney front row side of the stage. Also see his JC Superstar.

  11. I missed you BETH, my mom passed away, I lost my phone, I'm going through so many different emotions, it's overwhelming me. I can't my mom being gone, I'm an emotional train wreck and I can't seem to put everything in perspective. I know this isn't the forum to say things of this nature. I'm very sorry for not discussing this in a more appropriate forum. I do hope that you for any indiscretions that I may have caused you.. I missed you so much.

  12. I really enjoyed your insight into vocal techniques… Very interesting.
I love this version of Help with the amazing John Farnham. John Lennon said Farnham's version was how the song should be sung.
My very best wishes to John and his family. Get well soon and thanks for memories like this. ☮️

  13. Just a few things that I heard about John Farnham…. Apparently was asked by Brian May of QUEEN if he was interesting in joining after singing the song WE WILL ROCK YOU with the band (its on one of John Farnhams albums. Richard Marx called his voice RELIGION. Tom Jones is a huge fan of his (check out Tom Jones and John Farnham duet on Hey Hey its Saturday). Apparently Paul Mccartney heard this version and said that that was the way the song was meant to be sung. And Celine Dion is a huge fan and loves him to death. CHEERS!!
