  1. You can actually apparently super guard even easier than Gamecube version, the frame window is apparently pretty forgiving.

You'll need practice to get into the groove of it first though.

  2. I think in the underground soundtrack there's a bit of the music from "We're Counting on You, Mario!" mixed in. Neat little touch that. Or I'm just insane.

Apparently that track has a different name in this but MAN, still love this game.

  3. I'm surprised how many people like the new music remixes tbh. I think they're fine and some are actually really cool, but the weird metal drums in half the songs take a lot away from the subtlety of the percussion in most of the OG tracks. Luckily there's the nostalgia badge and it's a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things anyway, it's a fantastic remake!

  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like the music is too low; the only complaint I've had so far is the lack of sound options. There's also a delay in my button presses when I play in docked mode, but that might just be because I'm using a first wave Switch (it's old)

  5. I'm at Chapter 2 right around now, and I am very satisfied with the remake right now. There are a lot of changes, but I'm finding that many of them are for the better, and it's just so relieving to be able to play the game without needing to worry if my $100 copy of the GameCube original (or my gamecube / wii) will go bad one of these days.
