Alive among the lifeless… alone among the crawling creatures of evil that make the night hideous with their inhuman craving!
It is three years since a plague either killed everyone on earth or turned them into zombies. Dr. Robert Morgan is the sole survivor and lives a perilous existence where at night the zombies attack his house and during the day he seeks out zombies and kills them. The monotony and isolation of his existence is getting to him – is there any point to all this?

  1. Vincent Price as the hero!!???
    Well, that's new. (My experience with Vincent Price was limited to his British films or other films with British actors playing main protagonist roles foiling Vincent's villainy.)

    Why did he not use any military machineguns?
    Why didn't he live in a better more secure place. I mean out of the whole city, he lives in a run down house?
    I was 12 when this came out.
    Sure is different watching this today.

  3. Здесь больше смысла, чем в последующей версии. Фильм более законченный. Понимаю, что современные фильмы заканчиваются неопределённостью, чтобы потом снять продолжение.
