French Hill Climb Championship (2019) came to Arette – France for round Impossible Climb. The race was a two-day event in the heart of a geographical beauty. This is a championship which is held since 1984 and you really see how serious the competitors are. The target is to cover a 230m hill which has a soft right curve and jumpy sections.

Day 1 was mostly a show-off and race day for stock dirt bikes, day 2 was the real deal. 56 competitors were ready with their modified bikes. Each competitor had 4 chances and whoever covers the most gets the trophy.

No one made it to the top at the end. The winner of the race was Vincent Mougenot who covered 222,15 meters at his 3rd try.

  1. Babu always seems concerned about safety. I can't decide whether he has ever done anything mildly dangerous or if he has done many dangerous things and learned his lesson 😂✌️♥️🇬🇧

  2. They do this hill climb close to where I live. The people along the trail are generally not spectators but could be judges or safety and medical but they know when to run and always keep an eye on the danger. Where I am from most spectators are watching from the hill across from the trail that is used for the climb.

  3. I believe quads are more dangerous since they're wide and heavy. Once you do a wheelie in a quad, it'll crush your entire body where as a bike will probably move else where or only injure part of you

  4. Eeeeeeee, that was so much fun! Very exciting – though yeah, major risk. This was great fun for them. Me, I kept thinking it'd be easier on a horse, though not so fast. 😁 Safer, too! At least a horse would try not to step on you. They don't like stepping on squishy things, LOL.

They need to build those bikes at an acute angle, like a cogwheel railroad engine for steep railroads! Being front-heavy might help. On the other hand, those back-flips are pretty impressive…

  5. I have to say that they do it for a prize money and temporary fame, but these folks are adrenaline junkies and they do it for the rush. I've know many off road motorcycle racers.

  6. These riders are seeking glory. It's a time honored tradition of humanity since our beginning. The youth rush foolishly ahead while the elders scoff and scold, it has been this way since time immemorial.

  7. Is it Indians in general, or just villagers that seem just terrified of risk. They are always so scared of anything having to do with risk.
Which makes me wonder about their childhoods. Did they not play on hills and in rivers, just doing stupid stuff for the fun of it? Then that makes me feel super sad for them, because they don't seem to know what FUN is. They really need to start teaching their kids about risk. It's essential to life.

  8. Fellas, I enjoyed watching this racing as much as y'all did. I think maybe they made their bikes too long. Shorter bikes could have recovered faster then those long ones. It was fun to watch, but no, I would never do that and I love to ride motorcycles!👌👌👌

  9. You should show them a video of Thailand river boat racing. It's unreal how fast they go in these tiny little boats with huge engines in them. What's really crazy is they drive them with a tilled mounted motor!
