Vigil planned for slain Seattle Metro bus driver

The union that represents transit operators in Seattle is planning a vigil to honor bus driver Shawn Yim, who was stabbed to death while working earlier this week.

Yim, 59, was killed by a passenger after an altercation on his bus early Wednesday morning. Seattle police continue to search murder suspect Richard Sitzlack, 53, who is considered armed and dangerous.

A small memorial has been set up at the site where Yim was killed.

  1. Dude was a known fare evader and wouldn't even be on the bus if the Metro and city did their jobs. I hope the Family sues!! but it's only the tax payers the pay for the incompetence of Democrats!!

  2. This is a policy-driven tragedy that could be prevented by the city council members – stop defunding police and start prosecuting criminals- how hard is it to understand? People keep voting for democrats in Deep Blue cities, what else do you expect?
