Why is it seemingly that only YouTubers can fix this stuff? 😄
5:59 that was a slick transition lol
Even caps goes bad
Thanks tronic Bro of Sonic😅😅 For makings vdo Long n details love ❤️ From India 🇮🇳
Why don't you use thermal camera ?
Steve they were trying to put a Hwfly or a pico fly chip, that is the reason of the shield being like that! 12:52
You did a great job with that oled!
25:45 I believe a short in the chip to the right of the charging port can sometimes be caused by the chip to the left, the one right below the shield you replaced in the previous one. I think that's the bq chip, but don't quote me on that. You should try replacing that one.
I opened my ps4 to clean to update the thermal paste and now it won't turn on…. i put everything together slowly 🙁 what could possibly be the issue?
Could you maybe include a short explanation about the looking for shorts? Because I have no clue what’s going on but it looks interesting
21:21
I don’t understand why when you could see that one chip was not on correctly. You still left it. And had to go back and change it. 🤦♂️
Imagine being the guy that sold a whole switch for an sd card that just wiggled loose..
I have question how can I sent you something to get fix Because I really need my phone to be fixed please ?
Oh SNAP! Solder burns on failed modders. Tronics bring the heat on these fools.
Spotted the capacitor on the mat at 14:44😊
13:00 Someone that know what that component is to the left of the hole? It looks like "41 H" …
I know it's a choice but I always feel bad for folks that utilize the 'Rent to Own' places. It's like they were set up with the purpose of being predatory towards folks with financial challenges.
fixing these devices seems a lot more mentally stimulating than the games they actually play…
Sometimes a reflow might fix a blod switch, this consoles flex and sometimes a solder ball can became disconected from behind the apu.
Hey man, when you were working on the "modded" switch, I'm very well aware of what the mod is and how it works. The person who attempted to mod this is clearly new to soldering. No flux used(or they used the terrible paste flux), too much heat on the capacitors on the SoC, and they scraped wayy too much solder mask around the via (not the larger rectangular ground pad next to it) to the top right of the cpu (where the shielding was cut). Very surprised they didn't Bridge that via to the ground plane next to it. That is a cpu clock point used by a modchip for timing when to inject a payload.
Hi
The second switch looked like a lost cause 👍🏻
My boys have nintendo switch that doesnt power on or charge up. 🤷♂
Love your videos!! I have a pair of Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen2. They only work plugged in. I cant figure out why it will not run off they battery. Would love to send them to you to see if you can fix it. You can make a video about it if you would like.
Always satisfying fixing the un-fixable, at least that what they want t you to think
Hi Tronicsfix I spilled some juice on my switch a long time ago…I was wondering if you could fix it for free 😁
24:47 there is a component above the chip that is tilted off one of it's pads, it could still be fixable?
I feel bad for that rent to own guy. Great video as always!
for the modded OLED the shield was cut to run wires from the chips
The key to rent to own stores. Is to pay it off as quickly as possible. If you buy something like a Nintendo switch from a rent to own store. Try to pay it off in like 3 months. You're going to pay an extra 50 bucks on top of what the switch cost but you didn't have to come up with that money all in one chunk
$700 for a Switch?! That's a huge scam. I hate those rental places. Always makes more sense to just save up what you can over time and buy it for MSRP once you can afford it. You have to wait, sure, but I'd rather wait than pay more than double the MSRP for something.
I have a Xbox one controller that you might get a kick out of. the battery contacts is bent battery pack that powers it broken and the left trigger is having a problem and it’s a sob to get to charge in the first place lol love your stuff ! I hope your videos get the views, likes and subscribes they deserve.
I've always been scared to solder but you make it look so easy that I want to try on some already broke electronics.
Nice job Steve! My roommates switch which was my old v2 one I gave since I had a oled one and his has the same problem it’s not bricked but dosent charge
