Paul and canned ham, those were the nights π
The number on the Tom Brokaw card still works, in case anyone is looking for some catering.
Sometimes a saltine is all you need.
The question we're all asking: did everyone get some canned ham?
Bryan Adams in the first clip? lol Actually that's a fancy dinner plaid he's wearing eh?
Bryan Adams! π¨π¦
RIP Paul Schaefer
9th and early π
I wouldn't be the man I am today, were it not for canned ham!
Shaffer is the coolest uncool person
Interesting how they didn't blank out Tom Brokaws number but the rest they did lol
I always loved the canned ham
That was back when late night TV could be late night TV. Way to go, Dave, Paul, and the rest of Dave's team!
Bryan Adams is a national treasure.
Note: Our host is Canadian, so we are obligated to post the sentiment about Mr Adams. Its just easier. We'll never hear the end of it if we don't just do it. And with OUR host, that would mean annoyance on a level that simply isn't tolerable.
Also, interestingly, this isn't the only time Dave uttered the phrase, "Well, Mr McDouche, let's see."
Note: yes it was.
Gorbachev retired to Caldwell, New Jersey and does landscaping. I can see that.
Dave's mom made fried ham sandwiches everyday for lunch, 40 years later they had to crack him open. Just saying!
RIP
Oh sure I'll take some ham and saltines with your bloopers, but more importantly, who's the guy with Bryan, is it Keith Scott?
I never thought a sideman could be more obnoxious than Ed McMahon but I was wrong.
Paul might have had a talent with the keyboard, but he was the neighborhood kid that would offer money to anyone that would play with him.
love dave miss him
Bryan Adams the pride if Vancouver, B.C. Canada & Paul Schaffer the pride of Thunder Bay, Ont. Canada
Ian would be 89 now.
200 pounds of canned ham, Dave!
I used to love watching Dave every night in the 80s as just about every show was absolutely fascinating to watch, as this ridiculous six-minute slice proves.
