Dave's early shows always remind me of the Bill Tush Show that was on during the early days of SuperStation TBS. Jan Hooks was on Bill's show before her SNL days. Great stuff!!

I think we (I at least) enjoyed the idea that the entire staff was working on putting together stupid bits. They were experimenting in real time. Some of the bits were hilarious. Some were so horrible that the failure made it funny. But even if a bit wasn't funny, we dug the idea that a person's job was to think up goofy shtick.
