  1. Everyone saying it’s the mother’s fault , something wrong with you. Her partner saw them crossing the street , why didn’t she ? Hmmm maybe she wasn’t paying attention.. so let’s stop blaming her . She’s gone now and her kids had to witness that. Let’s pray for them instead !

  2. Looks a lot like they were just standing there just talking and not crossing. Even a regular person driving their car wouldn’t had seen them standing in the middle of the road in the dark. Plus, did those people standing there not see the oncoming car headlights?

  3. In the officer’s defense: why in the hell were those people standing/talking in the middle of the road like they’re invisible? I say the officer shouldn’t get a harsh punishment but not so light since god only knows how she didn’t see them.

  4. This one's kinda 50/50, this version in the video seem's brightened up compared to the original ones i saw. Im not sure if i would have been able to see them or not cause the video quality was so crappy. Shouldn't have been standing in the street as a group though. Kinda hard to tell who's really at fault here very sad

  5. If you're walking at night where there's traffic you should be wearing reflective clothing. Also, you should cross streets quickly. You have to assume no one sees you. I'm not saying the police officer is not at some fault. He appears to be speeding. This sounds like a very sad incident.

  6. Personally, I would be a wreck going back out on duty. I can't imagine what she is thinking now and the guilt of the accident.
My heart goes out to that family! Torn apart and seeing the video after they publication released it.

  7. While driving in a populated area, you must drive safe and pay atention. The car is a weapon and must be treated with care, otherwise any pedestrian mistake can be fatal. Like it or not, the car driver is to blame in most cases, the driver must antecipate the possibility of the mistake of the pedestrian.

  8. NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS IT WAS THE FEMALE COP'S FAULT FOR DRIVING TOO FAST AND NOT SEEING THE PEOPLE CLEARLY CROSSING THE STREET AND NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO WHERE SHE WAS GOING. ANYTHING MORE TO SAY IN A DEROGATORY MANNER ABOUT THE VICTIM IS JUST PLAIN IGNORANCE AND HATRED BECAUSE SHE WAS A BLACK WOMAN AND NOT A WHITE OR HISPANIC ONE.

  9. It's impossible to believe she couldn't see a crowd of people in the street when her partner was yelling in her ear to stop . The yelling in the ear should have been a signal that something was very wrong and she should stopand investigate.

  10. People in the comments acting like if they randomly hit a person standing in the middle of the street they wouldnt get arrested and jailed for manslaughter. But ahhhhh if a Cop does it then all blame goes to the victim it seems lmao

  11. Wow a lot of the comments are gross
A criminal getting shot and then being defended by the black community is WAY different than a MOTHER getting mowed down in the street by a cop who wasn’t paying attention
I guess racism isn’t as dead as I thought
